Best-selling author and comedian Trevor Noah has announced he will return to New York City to host a two-night celebration of the publication of his latest book, Into the Uncut Grass. The book will be released on October 8.
During these celebrations, Trevor Noah plans to do more than just party. Joining a moderator on stage, he offers a deep dive into the essence of his latest work.
Trevor is the author of the 2016 #1 New York Times bestseller Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, a memoir depicting the hardships of growing up mixed-raced in apartheid South Africa. His storytelling ability caught the attention of readers of all ages, adapting the bestseller into a young readers’ version in 2019. This year, he’s back with another testament to his storytelling abilities with his latest book, Into the Uncut Grass.
However, unlike Born a Crime, Trevor Noah’s latest book is a work of fiction rather than a memoir. Trevor’s new book is a gorgeously illustrated and moving modern fable for readers of all ages about forgiveness, acceptance, and the secret to solidarity. Inspired by classic children’s fables like Alice in Wonderland and The Little Prince, he adjusts these longstanding stories to fit his own personal experience, as well as

Asbury Park, New Jersey’s Dogs In A Pile have announced a slate of tour dates for the Fall. The tour begins with two shows at Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl on October 25 and 26 and will see the band touring extensively throughout the Midwest and Southeast as they continue their upwards ascent in the jamband music scene. A presale for tickets is currently underway with the general on sale date set for Friday, August 10 with VIP packages available for some shows.

This Fall Tour announcement comes on the heels of a busy summer for Dogs In A Pile that saw them headline multiple shows in Colorado, play several festivals, and jump on the road with Andy Frasco & The U.N. and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. The band will now continue to surge forward with more Colorado shows scheduled before ending the tour in the Southeast in late November. They’re scheduled to play Asheville NC’s Salvage Station on November 19, Nashville TN’s Basement East on November 21, and the show at Atlanta GA’s Terminal West on November 22 is set to be the tour closer.
As a burgeoning musical act beginning to gain nationwide notoriety, Dogs In A Pile is making a conscious effort to develop their fan base and build a unique culture around the band by organizing pre-show meetups for their beloved fanbase, the Dog Pound. So far, significant gatherings have occurred in cities like their hometown of Asbury Park, Denver (CO), Vail (CO), Austin (TX), and Woodstock (NY). This summer, The Homer Center for the Arts on 72 S, Main Street, in Homer is teaming up with So Good! Ice Cream to present a diverse line-up of music for the late summer.
With incredible ice cream, homemade cotton candy, unique sundaes, killer sunsets, and home of the So Good Music Series, each summer the ice cream site hosts the series. Plus, So Good! features “Adult Only” specialty ice cream for those 21+, with shows beginning at 7:00 pm.
On August 8th Colleen Kattau and Kyle Michio will be taking the stage, showcasing their talents and enhancing each other’s performance. Colleen Kattau is an award-winning blingual singer-songwriter, known for her blend of folk and latin music, her soulful voice brings the lyrics to life. As a beloved figure in the folk world, Kattau connects with the audience through her composition full of nature, social movements, and Latin American nueva canción.
Micho is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Syracuse with a large span of genres from folk, jazz, to classical music. His blend of sounds are both innovative and contains traditional music.
On August 22nd, Second Spring and Mr Gâs Homie Discount will be performing. Second Spring is a local Ithaca indie rock band that brings contemporary music to life. The band currently consists of members Isabella Gold, Erin Wagner, Isaiah Berger, Carys Banford and Aron Kaplan-Hall. With energetic an heartfelt performances, Second Spring has a loyal following.
Mr G’s Homie Discount blends funk, soul, and hip-hop. With a groovy and magnetic stage presence, the band has an infectious energy, making the crowd dance.
Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs has announced a number of musical events in August. With shows ranging from folk and blues to jazz and classical, audiences can enjoy a variety of different stylings throughout the month.
Caffe Lena’s founding dates back to 1960 when William and Lena Spencer converted an old woodworking shop into a coffee house. 64 years later, Caffe Lena is the oldest continually running coffee house in the country. Since its start, the cafe has been dedicated to bringing Saratoga Springs quality folk performances. In 1961, Caffe Lena hosted a then up-and-coming Bob Dylan for a two-night residency. Since then, Caffe Lena has hosted over 12,000 shows, including sets by legendary artists like Dave Van Ronk and Don Mclean.
Starting in 2020, Caffe Lena expanded its operations, opening a music school. This program continues their mission of spreading music through the community by passing down the folk tradition to the next generations. Also started was live broadcasting of the cafe’s shows in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
August 2024 marks a busy month for Caffe Lena with many different events planned. Throughout the month, the cafe will host Monday Open Mics. During these events, community members can display their musical talents for the cafe’s audience. Since its start over 30 years ago, Metroland Magazine, The Alt Weekly, The Saratogian Reader’s Poll, and Saratoga’s Fab Five have recognized the event with “best of” awards. This event is free, but Caffe Lena suggests leaving a $3-5 donation. The open mic nights will take place Monday, August 5, 12, 19, and 26, at 7pm.
Kicking off the month of shows is an August 8th performance by the Nields. Sisters Nerissa and Katryna Nields make up the folk-rock group, blending pop melodies, folk instrumentals, and the edge of 90s alternative. Their sound has been described as a mix of the Cranberries, the Roches, and Joni Mitchell. The Nields’ performance begins at 7pm, with tickets starting from $11.94.
August 9th will feature a performance from Legendary country musician John McEuen. McEuen was a founding member and banjoist for the seminal country act The Nitty Gritty Dirty Band, propelling them to fame with songs like “Mr. Bojangles.” Now, over 45 years into his career, the Grammy-winning musician will perform at Caffe Lena for one night only. His performance will feature instrumental backing from banjos, guitars, fiddle, and mandolin. John McEuen’s performance will begin at 8pm, with tickets starting from $18.98.
Singer-songwriter supergroup Fantastic Cat will perform at Caffe Lena on August 10th. Members Anthony D’Amato, Don Dilego, Brian Dunne and Mike Montali bring years of experience in folk and Americana, making songs that are equal parts funny and heart-wrenching. With music that is equal parts Black Keys and Bruce Springsteen, Fantastic Cat pairs tight instrumentation with soulful vocals. This sold-out performance will begin at 8pm.
On Wednesday, August 13th, Rainbow Girls will perform at Caffe Lena. The trio hails from Santa Barbara, California, where they gained prominence from their live performances. Their music combines indie folk and Americana stylings with ethereal elements, making for a unique sound. UK music website For Folks Sake described their music as “A gang of sweet angels punching you in the heart.” Their set will take place at 7pm, with tickets starting from $15.18.
Following this is a performance by Paul Winter and Chuck Lamb titled “This Glorious Earth.” 7x Grammy-winning saxophonist Paul Winter made a name for himself as the bandleader of the Paul Winter Consort. Composed of jazz, world, and classical musicians, the group traveled the world for decades. Throughout his career, Winter took great musical influences from nature, and consistently fought for ecological protections. Now, Winter will return to a live club setting for the first time in decades to play a salute to the natural world. Caffe Lena jazz steward and pianist Chuck Lamb will accompany Winter. These performances are scheduled for Friday, August 23 at 8pm. and Saturday, August 24 at 8pm. Tickets start from $46.10.
August 27th and 28th will feature performances by legendary British folk musician Al Stewart. Stewart rose to fame in the 1960s, using folk-rock to tell mythological and historical stories. He is perhaps best known for his no. 8 hit “Year of the Cat” from 1976. Across his 16 studio albums, Stewart has worked with everyone from Jimmy Page to Tori Amos. Now after almost six decades in the spotlight, he will grace Caffe Lena with his folk stylings. His performances will start at 7pm, with tickets starting at $47.50.
Judith Owen & Her Gentlemen Callers will close out the month with an August 31st performance. Welsh singer-songwriter Judith Owen has made waves since the release of her 1996 American debut Emotions on a Postcard. Now, with the backing of a New Orleans septet, Owen explores the female artists that inspired her. The performance will celebrate boundary-breaking artists like Nellie Lutcher, Julia Lee, and Blossom Dearie. Owen will also interpret the works of timeless vocalists like Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. With this modern twist on classic tunes, Owen’s performance is one to look out for. Her performance will begin at 8pm, with tickets starting from $20.61.

The University of Albany Department of Music and Theatre has announced the lineup for their 2024-25 season. Performances for this season will begin on September 22 and the final show of the season is on Monday, May 5. All performances take place at the UAlbany Performing Arts Center on the main University of Albany campus at 1400 Washington Avenue.
This season’s repertoire consists of dozens of professional and student musicians with a variety of mediums. Choirs, student ensembles, professional duos, and more all come together on the UAlbany stage this season for a spectacular display of their talent. The UAlbany Theatre Department will be presenting three full student productions and offering five to six performances of each show, as well as its annual festival of new plays. Student productions include Machinal by Sophie Treadwell, Mary Shelley Meets Frankenstein by Kate Alice Walat, and Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show.
In total, UAlbany offers 27 incredibly diverse shows throughout the upcoming season. Multiple guest performers are included in the season, as well, including GRAMMY-award-winning Imani Winds and the Ulysses Quartet.

The Orchestra of The Southern Finger Lakes ended July with a big announcement of their 24-25 season tickets.
Their 30th season in history also celebrates another important anniversary. This is the 15th season with Maestro Toshiyuki Shimada leading the group of musicians. The performances of the season include the Orchestra Series and the Musicians Choice Chamber Music Series.
This fall, on Oct 12, the orchestra will start the season with “Oktoberfest at the Symphony,” a celebration of German composers like Beethoven and Brahms. Korean violinist, Jinyoung Yoon will perform the Brahms Violin Concerto. To end the Orchestra Series, on May 4, 2025 pianist Svetlana Smolina will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The “May The Fourth Be With You” performance will also include the classic cinematic Star Wars theme.
For fans of smaller ensembles’, on Nov 1, principal flute Jeanne Sperber and pianist Michael Salmirs will perform lyrical repertoire from composers such as Arthur Foote and Charles Griffes. Next year on Feb. 11, a trio of wind instrumentalists, Lesley McClelland, David Resig and Claire Tuxill McKenney, will perform pieces both with and without narration.
The Orchestra Series is conducted by director Toshiyuki Shimada. Shimada studied under highly esteemed conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Herbert von Karajan, Herbert Blomstedt and more. From 2005 to 2019 he was the director of the Yale Symphony Orchestra of Yale University. He also directed the Portland Symphony Orchestra in Portland, ME from 1986 to 2006. Not only does he conduct in the U.S. but he’s made guest appearances at international orchestras like Royal Scottish National Orchestra; L’Orchestre National de Lille in France, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Chamber Orchestra and a seemingly endless list of others.

Woodstock’s Maverick Concerts will host After Spring Sunset: A Tribute to Peter Schickele a tribute to renowned composer Peter Schickele on Saturday, Aug. 10. The day will include two main acts- a free morning concert showcasing some of Schickele’s folk tunes, and an evening show full of many talented musicians further expanding on Schickele’s works.
The tribute is honoring Peter Schickele, a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist with decades of accomplishments under his belt. Schickele, who passed away this past January, is remembered through the character, P.D.Q. Bach, and his public radio program “Schickele Mix.”
Having won multiple Grammy Awards for his work, Schickele found fame writing for folk musicians, as well as ensembles and solo work. Most notably, he arranged music for folk musician Joan Baez across multiple bodies of music. Throughout his career, Schickele created over a hundred orchestrations.
Aug. 10 will be an undeniably full day of music and remembrance with the first set taking place from 11 AM-12 PM, and the second, at 6 PM. To begin the day, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Elizabeth Mitchell will lead a series of folk tunes written by Schickele. She will be joined by M Shanghai String Band, pianist Ray Bailey, and Schickele’s daughter, musician Karla Schickele. Additionally, folk musician, Marc Black will come out and perform the song “Tyrannosaurus Rex,” which he made with Schickele. The morning performance is free to attend and welcomes families.

The latter half of the day brings an extravagant slate of performers to exemplify Schickele’s vast repertoire. After Spring Sunset: A Tribute to Peter Schickele will exhibit performances from a variety of different artists. Firstly, the Callisto String Quartet will perform Schickele’s Fifth String Quartet, A Year in the Country. Following the quartet will be their rendition of his P.D.Q. Bach work, The Moose Quartet.
Next, the M Shanghai String Band and surprise guests will perform a piece from a Schickele bluegrass concerto. Elizabeth Mitchell also returns to perform a song Schickele wrote for Joan Baez. The show will turn particularly personal when Karla Schickele along with her cousin, Nighttrain Schickele, and son, Emmet Schickele, perform special and generally unknown, Peter Schickele family songs. Marc Black will also join the lineup to sing an additional slate of special songs.
Continuing to honor P.D.Q. Bach, Mezzo Michele Eaton, along with tenors Wesley Chinn and Greg Purnhagen, will perform some of his vocal works. Overall, the show will serve as a testament to how significant Schickele was to not only his family and friends but fans all over the world. Maverick Music Director Alexander Platt, Woodstock Chimes founder and percussionist Garry Kvistad, and Karla Schickele will host the event and guide the show in Schickele’s honor.

Classic blues band Blood Brothers announced their live performance at Schenectady’s Music Haven. Their concert is held on August 16, in between concerts from Elias Ochoa and Banda Magda. The band is supported by blues powerhouses Misty Blues and Piedmont Bluz.
Hot off of their most recent album, Live in Canada, a collection of their best live performances in the country released last October, Blood Brothers have reached incredible success in the world of Blues and Rock’n’roll, in both their solo and group careers. In the past, both guitarists Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia won Blues Rock Album of the Year at the Blues Music Awards for their solo works, Zito winning in 2022 and Castiglia in 2024. That same year, Castiglia won for Blues Rock Artist of the Year. Earlier this year, the duo won for Blues Rock Album as Blood Brothers, and Zito won for Blues Artist of the Year.
Now, after their resounding season, they make their way over to New York for a performance at the Music Haven festival. This year, Music Haven celebrates several diverse performers, ranging in several genres from Brazilian Funk to Zydeco to Afrofusion.
Blood Brothers are the latest to join the lineup, making their Music Haven debut on August 16 as part of the Blues BBQ Concert Series. They are joined by their loyal band, including Doug Byrkit on bass guitar, Matt Johnson and Ephraim Lowell on drums and percussion, and Lewis Stephens on keyboards.
Opening for the band are fellow blues artists Misty Blues and finger-pick guitar specialists Piedmont Bluz. Blood Brothers’ headlining performance ends at 9:30 pm. Following the performances is a festive;-wide barbecue for all fans and attendees. After the show, they continue on the rest of their nationwide tour.

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) in Stony Brook has announced an updated list of upcoming August and early September shows, including a must-see performance from The Bangles’ Vicki Peterson alongside The Beach Boys’ John Cowsill, as well as a historic hall of fame induction ceremony and performance honoring legendary hip-hop artists Davy DMX, DJ Hurricane and DJ Jazzy Jay.
Founded in 2004, the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is an organization dedicated to the idea that Long Island’s musical and entertainment heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The organization, which encompasses New York State’s Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties, was created as a place of community that explores Long Island music and entertainment in all its forms.
August 4th – Linda Sussman
Linda Sussman is an award-winning singer-songwriter whose music is an eclectic mix of folk, alternative-folk and blues. Her strong vocals are often compared those of Joan Baez, and her versatile guitar style includes open tunings and, at times, a touch of slide. Sussman has shared her music over the years on stages ranging from the iconic The Bitter End and Kenny’s Castaways in NYC’s West Village to Prospect Park in Brooklyn to Radio Bean in Burlington, VT. Since 2018, she has released five full-length albums, several of which have ranked #1 on the Roots Music Report’s Alternative Folk Album Chart. Her music has been played on over 100 radio programs across the U.S. and abroad. Sussman is most grateful to her studio musicians, Mike Nugent (lead guitarist) and Kevin Kelly (bassist and mixing engineer), with whom she continues to collaborate, and all the stellar musicians who have added spice to her albums. And although Sussman typically performs solo, she and Nugent can occasionally be found onstage together. Additionally, Sussman co-hosts the music series SongBreak with fellow singer-songwriter Josie Bello.

Vicki Peterson (The Bangles) and John Cowsill (The Cowsills, The Beach Boys) have been married for 20 years and playing music together for… maybe two. Peterson is a founding member of the 1980s group The Bangles, one of the most successful bands of that decade. She later wrote and performed with her good friend (and eventual sister-in-law) Susan Cowsill as The Psycho Sisters; the duo soon found themselves absorbed into the New Orleans’ songwriters collective The Continental Drifters and remain with them today. The Bangles reunited in the 21st century to release four more albums, including a collection of rarities and a collaboration with the Los Angeles bands Dream Syndicate, Rain Parade and the Three O’Clock.
Cowsill began working in clubs, singing and playing drums with his brothers when he was seven years old. The band grew to include their mother and little sister, and The Cowsills became a sensation in the late 1960s, enjoying several Top 20 hits. In 1981 John did some session work, landing on the Tommy Tutone hit “867-5309 (Jenny)” and recorded and toured with Dwight Twilley. He also toured with Jan and Dean before becoming a mainstay of the Beach Boys touring band, playing guitar, piano, and finally sitting at the drum kit for over 20 years.
Peterson and Cowsill, along with their friend actor/musician Bill Mumy, recorded three albums as The Action Skulls, including a pandemic-themed bluegrass record and their latest, From A Running Horse, released just this year. A loving tribute featuring songs written by two of John’s brothers, Bill and Barry Cowsill, was recently finished by Peterson and Cowsill. Long After the Fire is due for release in early 2025.

August 11th – Frank Latorre & the King Bees
Seasoned Long Island artist and musician Frank Latoree formed the King Bees in 1990. A five-time winner of the Long Island Blues Society, Latoree is a veteran in the industry. Now, as a three-piece blues rock ensemble with Louie Giusto on drums, Gary Grob Jr. on bass guitar and Latorre on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica, the King Bees will focus on original material written and arranged by Latorre.
August 18th – Shindig!
Shindig! is a classic rock band that has been playing on Long Island for thirty years. From bars and restaurants to outdoor public parks and private events, they’ve been entertaining the public since 1994. As the years have gone by, some band members have moved out of state and are involved in other musical projects, but these days the band gathers together once or twice a year and reunites for special occasions. “It’s like getting back on a bicycle; it all comes naturally,” say the band members. The special occasion this year is an upcoming performance at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame in Stony Brook. For this special show, in addition to some original material, the band will be focused on performing covers of material by many of the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame’s inductees.

LIMEHOF will induct legendary hip-hop artists Davy DMX (Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, The Fat Boys), DJ Hurricane (The Beastie Boys) and DJ Jazzy Jay (Def Jam) into the hall of fame on August 24th. The three are planning to perform and will be joined by LIMEHOF inductee DJ Johnny Juice (Public Enemy). “The induction of DJ Hurricane, Davy DMX, and DJ Jazzy Jay into the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame highlights the importance of DJs in hip-hop’s early days,” said LIMEHOF Vice Chairman Tom Needham. “These pioneers transformed the art of DJing, making it a central element of the genre and influencing countless artists. Their legacy is a vital part of hip-hop’s story, and we are proud to honor them.” This induction and performance ceremony will celebrate the monumental contributions of these legendary artists to the genre of hip-hop. They will join an impressive line-up of hip-hop performers from the region already inducted, including LL COOL J, Public Enemy, EPMD, Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, Eric B. & Rakim, The Fat Boys, Salt-n-Pepa and Whodini.
DJ Hurricane
DJ Hurricane, born January 12, 1965, is renowned for his electrifying work with the Beastie Boys. Starting his journey in the Hollis, Queens area of New York City, DJ Hurricane honed his skills alongside Run D.M.C. and later became a pivotal figure in the Beastie Boys’ success. His career includes three solo albums featuring collaborations with prominent artists like Xzibit, Public Enemy, Kool G Rap, Black Thought, Papoose, and Talib Kweli. Known for his dynamic performances and innovative production, DJ Hurricane’s influence on hip-hop is immeasurable.
Davy DMX
Davy DMX, also known as David Franklin Reeves Jr., has left an indelible mark on hip hop through his collaborations with Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, and The Fat Boys. An early associate of Russell Simmons and Larry Smith, Davy DMX’s work in the 1980s set the stage for many future hip-hop sounds. His solo album, “Davy’s Ride,” and his groundbreaking productions have been sampled by top artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Common. Davy DMX’s contributions as a musician, songwriter, and producer have solidified his legacy in the genre.
DJ Jazzy Jay
DJ Jazzy Jay is a foundational figure in hip-hop, instrumental in the creation of Def Jam Recordings alongside Rick Rubin. Jazzy Jay met Rubin and assisted him in laying the foundation for what would become Def Jam Recordings. The label’s first official single was “It’s Yours” by T La Rock and DJ Jazzy Jay. Jazzy Jay also put out Def Jam’s third 12″ in 1985, entitled “Def Jam,” backed with “Cold Chillin’ In The Spot.” In 1986, he participated in the recording of Planet Rock – The Album. Jazzy Jay’s pioneering efforts include producing early recordings by A Tribe Called Quest, Diamond D, and Fat Joe. His own label, Strong City Records, and his influential studio in the Bronx have been critical in shaping the sound of hip-hop. As a DJ, producer, and mentor, Jazzy Jay’s impact on the music industry continues to resonate.

August 25th – Joe Piket & the Storm
Joe Piket has been voted Long Island’s best piano entertainer for the last three years. The LIMEHOF is proud to present Joe Piket and the Storm to kick off their new season of Sunday concerts. Piket has written for movies, cable and television and performed with some very well-known musicians, including some of the musicians on his solo CD, Nine Times Framed. The critical acclaim he received for Nine Times Framed led to the formation of his current band, Joe Piket and the Storm. “People kept asking where they could hear these songs live, so I decided it was time to put a band together and get out and play again,” Piket said. Audiences in New York City and on Long Island have been blown away by Joe Piket and the Storm’s energy, their musical integrity, and their lyrical originality. They have appeared with Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Randy Jackson of Zebra, and Jason Bonham, son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. They have also charted on CMJ, and their music is currently being played on most college radio stations. Rave reviews have appeared in Newsday, Good Times, Aural Fix, and L.I.E., as well as many online publications.
September 8th – James O’Malley
Brooklyn-born songwriter James O’Malley has composed some of the most endearing and relatable songs that a music lover could hear. Along the way, he’s appeared on TV, radio, concert stages, and festivals throughout the area. His influences include Tim Hardin, Chuck Pyle, Donovan, Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Mickey Newbury, Mississippi John Hurt, Randy Newman, Big Bill Broonzy, Bert Jansch, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. and he learned his fingerpicking basics from legendary folk guitarist Eric Darling.
Jon ‘The Barber’ Gutwillig (a.k.a. Baba G) of The Disco Biscuits will join forces with Ben Atkind of Elephantproof (formerly Goose) to perform on August 3 at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock. The evening will kick off with a set by Capital Region’s own SM INK.
The performance on August 3 marks Barber’s Woodstock debut. Having performed as part of groups and, Barber has garnered a reputation as the guitar player for the band The Disco Biscuits. However, his appearance at the Bearsville Theater marks his first solo set at the theater.
Barber will be stepping out of his comfort zone for Saturday’s show, performing as a DJ named “Baba G,” and bringing house music, trance, and techno, and even remixes of his own songs from The Disco Biscuits.
Baba G will be joined by Ben Atkind of Elephantproof (formerly known as Goose). Atkins will provide drums for the set, while Barber hops in between the guitar and the DJ booth. This marks the second time Barber and Atkind perform together, bringing their dynamic and energetic performances to the Future City Lounge in Brooklyn just two months ago.
“I’m excited to collaborate with Ben again,” says Barber. “Our Brooklyn show was very well received, and I think we’ll deliver an even stronger performance now that we’ve got a show under our belts,” Barber said, referencing the duo’s June 1 performance at Future City Lounge.
Regardless of their past as a duo, Barber and Atkind are gearing up for a performance unlike any other. Their inspirations from disco and electronica music make for an incredibly unique blend of sound, perfect for the early days of the recently reborn Bearsville Theater. The innovative spin on house and disco music will surely be a night that lifelong fans and newcomers alike, whether or their solo or group work, will never forget.
