  • The Revivalists Announce Beacon Theatre Performance for ‘Take Good Care’ Tour

    The Revivalists will be performing tracks from their soon-to-be released LP Take Good Care at NYC’s historic Beacon Theatre on Jan. 16 and 17, 2019 as part of their recently announced upcoming tour.

    The 18-date escapade starts Jan. 11 in Washington, DC — see full list of dates below — after which the popular alternative group will soon head for NYC. The Beacon Theatre performance is a must see. Cultural commentators from online magazine Uproxx and longtime Los Angeles magazine Flaunt both recognize the group’s talent, spirit, and virtuosity by observing:

  • West End Blend announces expansive fall 2018 tour plus ‘Live at the Waterhole’ Album Release

    The soulful funk group, West End Blend, shared this week that their impressive Fall 2018 tour will be expanding across cities in the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest. In what Sam Horan, the band’s drummer, has described as “one of our most exciting tours to date,” eager fans can expect performances including surprises such as a Secret Location TBA for Halloweekend.

    This tour will mark the band’s next step to spread their unique sound as they claimed: “We’re visiting some brand new cities and we look forward to expanding that WEB family!” Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via the band’s website.

    This announcement is only the first of many plans for this upcoming fall. West End Blend prides themselves on their own vibe and flair and what better way to do that than with a live album release. Horan mentioned that they have been getting so many requests for this project because “Everyone can agree that while our studio albums sound great, they just don’t quite capture the raw energy and vibe that you see from us live.” It’s the ultimate way to provide the most authentic content possible and Live at the Waterhole will be released Oct. 5.

    Recorded during a two-night long session at the Waterhole in Saranac Lake, the album sees technical contributions from GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Brendan Morawski. By building a studio-style soundboard side stage, Morawski was able to capture studio quality recordings of both evenings. This was also taken into consideration for which songs would be included on the album since the objective was to pick those which have taken on new arrangements and morphed significantly from the studio album versions. This direction the band is taking will demonstrate how they want the utmost interactive experience for the fans and how they are constantly rearranging their songs during live performances to showcase their progression as a group.

  • Aqueous Announces Tour as New Album ‘Color Wheel’ Set to Release Soon

    The Buffalo quartet Aqueous has announced that their upcoming and long-awaited studio record; Color Wheel, will be dropping on October 12. Since their last 2014 release entitled Cycles, the group has felt a strong sense of progress and evolution in their sound that Aqueous guitarist/keyboardist David Loss describes as, “Color Wheel feels like a step forward for the band in every way. We tapped into a distinctly more emotional and purposeful space when writing it.” He also went on to say that the lyrics and themes that listeners will encounter in their journey throughout the album will have a sense of relatability which makes the project that much more special to them.

    The album boasts a 10-song track list which has been kept unheard with exceptions like “Second Sight” and “Weight of the Word.” The anticipation of the songs is even that much more intense since Aqueous will not be releasing it all at once. Considering that it is a concept album, it will be presented in waves with the first being available next week! The Aqueous guitarist explained this creative decision by stating, “There’s a certain continuity to this entire album, and it unfolds in a way that makes the track order important for the experience. We wanted to release the album in waves, ultimately, to give people a chance to settle into each section of the album and digest it thoroughly before diving into the next.”

    With such a thrilling project at hand, it only seems logical to accompany it with announcing a cross-country tour. However, this will be their most extensive one to date and will be filled with appearances by several other groups including moe., ELM, The Heavy Pets, and many more!

  • King Buffalo Announce Fall Release of New Album ‘Longing To Be The Mountain’

    Hot on the heels of their EP Repeater, King Buffalo has announced their sophomore full-length Longing To Be The Mountain, which drops Oct.12. The Rochester psych rock trio has returned to the states after a second summer touring Europe and entrancing audiences at some of the continent’s most renown music festivals. They’re currently on a trek across North America, ending with a stop in Toronto on Sept. 15.

  • Turkuaz New Album and Tour Announced with Several New York Appearances

    In a recent and major development from the Brooklyn-based funk band, Turkuaz, the nine member group announced they will be going on tour to promote their new album Life in the City expected to drop on Sept. 28. However, that is not all.   • Bob Dylan adds Utica and Rochester stops to 2018 Fall Tour

    This early August, world-renowned musician Bob Dylan announced the continuation of his “Never Ending Tour” taking place in the U.S. this fall. With destinations such as North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, and many other southern states, it came as a surprise when the Stanley Theatre in Utica announced they would also be hosting a Bob Dylan performance. This one night special act will take place Thursday, November 15th at 8 p.m. He will also perform in Rochester the night before at the Auditorium Theater.

    Since this tour was originally devised in 1988, Bob Dylan and his group have played all over the world and even hit the tremendous milestone of 2,000 performances all the way back in 2007 at a show in Dayton, Ohio. Dylan is currently completing his last set of shows in Australia before beginning the U.S. portion of his quite literal never ending tour with the first being in Phoenix, Arizona on Oct. 4 at the Coamerica Theater.

  • On The Cinder Plans Fall Foray Into Canada

    On The Cinder hits the road again this fall with stops as far as Canada. The run starts off Sept. 5 in Buffalo, where the trio formed the band in 2012. They head west to Detroit on Sept. 6, then have a run of five shows north of the border, including Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal before circling back to the states for a Sept.13.

    The fun-loving crew recently released a music video for their song “Soap Box,” in which drummer Tyler Rzemek gets fed up with being in the background and kidnaps bandmates Jason Wright and Mike Jacobs. Hilarity ensues as the antics and props grow more and more incredulous.

  • Kung Fu Confirms Fall Dates

    Kung Fu recently announced their 2018 fall tour that will kick off on Aug. 3 in Candia, NH and comes to a close in November in Denver, CO.

    The band is known for their ’70s funk-fusion meets a modern dance party sound and have existed since 2012. They get some of their influences from early Headhunters and Weather Report, and merge those ideas with  contemporary EDM.

    The 2018 fall tour includes not only a series of co-headlining concerts with Perpetual Groove but also a handful of Steely Dan tributes. The band will make two stops in NY, the first being in Utica as the official after party for moe. on Sept. 8 and the second in Rochester on Sept. 20.

    Their west coast shows will reprise last year’s “Fez Tour” as “Fez West,” where the band mixes the music of Steely Dan with original Kung Fu music.

    The band is made up of Tim Palmieri on guitar & vocals, Robert Somerville on tenor sax & vocals, Beau Sasser on keyboards & vocals, Chris DeAngelis on bass guitar & vocals, and Adrian Tramontano on drums/percussion.

  • Phish Announces 2018 Summer Tour Webcasts

    Phish just began their 2018 Summer Tour with a pair of shows at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys in Stateline, Nevada. Unlike most tours, if you can’t get tickets it doesn’t mean you can’t see Phish perform because they are live webcasting parts of their tour.

    Phish is a jam band quartet from Vermont whose tours are widely anticipated by its large fan base. Not all of their performances will be live streamed but the ones that are can be viewed via LivePhish.com. The live webcast tour begins with the band’s upcoming run at The Gorge in George, Washington, July 20 – 22. The rest of the live cast performance dates can be found below.

  • Intrepid Travelers Follow Up Stellar Solstice Festival with Second Round of Summer Tour Dates

    Not ones to rest on their laurels, Intrepid Travelers are following up their successful Solstice Festival with the second leg of their summer tour. IT heads out to Ohio and Michigan next week, then double back to New York, hitting Jamestown, Geneva and Buffalo. Summer tour rounds out with performances at Night Lights Music Festival in Sherman on Aug. 23 and Beau Fleuve Music Festival in Buffalo on Aug. 26.
