On Monday, June 20, The Park Theater in Glens Falls introduced their new podcast, The Park Presents, now available on Anchor and Spotify.

The Park Presents, hosted by The Park Theater Foundation’s Executive Director, Chris Ristau, will introduce audiences to the artists in the theater’s upcoming free Summer Concert Series. The series held its first season in 2021 and returns this year in the Crandall Park Bandshell each Friday evening in July.
The podcast will let audiences get to know the artists coming to Crandall Park ahead of their anticipated performances. Listeners will get a chance to hear about music inspirations, future plans, and more. Over the course of June and July, the episodes will welcome 5 local acts: Let’s Be Dead, Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Josh Morris Band, Hartley’s Encore, and Chestnut Grove.
The newest episode out on June 27 invites Let’s Be Dead (formerly Let’s Be Leonard) onto the show. The band is set to play a Grateful Dead set in the upcoming concert series. The podcast features also introduction music from Trevor Tunison & Nyna Nelson of Fort Vine. Audiences can catch their music at The Park Theater’s 2022-2023 Live and Local series.
Established in 2021, The Park Theater Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to enriching the community with quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities with their programming. With concerts, movies, comedy shows, and more, the new podcast is the latest in The Park Theater’s range of entertainment.
Located in downtown Glens Falls, The Park Theater hosts various events including their Sept. to May season that sees many local and international artists take the spotlight. The episode schedule for this new podcast can be found below:

The Luzerne Music Center in Lake Luzerne has announced concert dates for their 2022 summer season. Included in the three-show Chamber Music Festival and series performed by the center’s faculty and students, with dates that span from late June to the middle of August.
Lake Luzerne is located just west of Glens Falls in southern Warren County, and holds was settled by European settlers around 1770. The town of Lake Luzerne is named after Anne-César, Chevalier de la Luzerne, who served as French Minister to the early United States, after haven supported the American revolution with loans to provide food to the troops. In 1808, the town changed its name to Luzerne and in 1963 to Lake Luzerne.
The main event of the summer, the Luzerne Chamber Music Festival’s first concert Musicians of the New York City Ballet with Elizabeth Pitcairn and Glen Ananga on July 4th will be followed by Fabulous Philadelphians with center co-founder Toby Blumenthal and members of the Philadelphia Orchestra on July 25, and will be closed by the American String Quartet on August 5.
Also a summer camp, the Luzerne Music Center sources youth musicians from ages 8 to 18 to attend, selecting “approximately 150” youth musicians for summer stay on the organization’s wooded 20 acres.
These students will appear on stage during the season’s 17 free student concerts from June to August. The center faculty will also perform six concerts of their own on June 24, July 1, 8, 22 & 29, and August 5.

This free concert series will consist of five 90-minute live musical performances featuring local musicians and will serve to enhance the accessibility of the arts within the local community.
It’s amazing to think that just over a year ago we were announcing our first Summer Series in Crandall Park. What a long, meandering road it’s been between now and then. We’re so lucky and proud to offer our second summer of free performances to our community. These concerts are a way for us to say “Thank You” to all those who supported us through this past season. We look forward to welcoming you back – both indoors and out.
The Park Theater will partner with Doc’s Restaurant to offer a variety of small plates that will be available for purchase on-site each evening.

This year’s festival will feature Eastbound Jesus and Guthrie/Bell Productions.
Attendance at last year’s event was capped at 1,000 people due to COVID-19. This year attendance has been increased to 1,00 guests.
Two-day passes, which include camping, are available starting April 1 at 10am. Single day passes for Saturday, Sept. 10 are also available. Eastbound Jesus will be performing on both nights of the festival.
Since Eastbound Throwdown is a family event entrance for all attendees under the age of 15 is free.

Since 2015, New York State Music has crafted a March Madness friendly competition that spans all the musical harbors of the Empire State. As fans and musicians, the NYS Music team aims to spotlight the great talent found across New York in a friendly contest, bringing broader attention to the next generation of artists and bands on the rise. Fine Grain, a shoegazy punk band from Albany took both the red and blue pills with a Genny and got banned from Trader Joe’s. The girthy tones of this gritty group will remind you of late nights on a stoop in September, your first beer after work, weird questions about your parents cephalopods, and of course, the crushing weight of capitalism.
Fine Grain is currently in the studio at Brunswick Recording, working on new music, and have been incorporating visual projections that sync up to their music, intensifying the experience for fans.
Gooseberry is a 4-piece band from Brooklyn, born during the Fall of 2019. Their combination of indie rock and soul is a recipe for a unique sound that Gooseberry delivers in each song. The band consists of Asa Daniels (formerly of Baked Goods) on guitar/vocals, Evin Rossington (drums), Sam Rappaport (keys, vocals), and Will Hammond (bass). The band is a genre-bending alchemy of many disparate elements. They are often referred to as having “two bands in one.” This phenomenon can be attributed to the distinctly different approaches of their two chief songwriters—Asa and Sam.
New on the block, Gooseberry has already begun developing a devoted following in and around New York City, running the full gamut of venues from The Bowery Electric to DROM to house shows across the boroughs, quickly staking their claim in the ever-lively Brooklyn music scene. Fans know they’ll be kept on their toes, as the band moves in and out of genres and styles, always keeping the crowd engaged. Upcoming shows include Thursday, March 24 with Grady Spencer & The Work at Hill Country in NYC, then at Bowery Electric on April 14 and at The Knitting Factory on May 21.
Seize Atlantis has a unique, tight sound fueled by punchy bass, hard-driving percussion, melodic lead guitar, and pronounced moody vocals with meaningful lyrics, a truly dynamic range of soft to heavy Alternative Rock. Formed in 2019 out of Glens Falls, Seize Atlantis is a four-piece band most closely influenced by bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam, providing their own spin on a variety of covers from classic rock to modern pop in addition to their own original music.

The Helping Friendly Hemp Company Region Winner HANZOLO
HANZOLO won the EQX Battle of the Bands and opened Albany’s annual Pearlpalooza music festival in 2021. They have opened for bands like Lawrence, Wild Belle, and *repeat repeat. The boys released their first album Table Butter in 2019 and followed it up with their second, HANZOLO, in the fall of 2021. Hanzolo’s music has been compared to Table Butter: soft enough to spread yet hard enough to keep its shape.
Upcoming HANZOLO shows include April 8 at Madison Theater in Albany, April 14 at Pauly’s Hotel, April 24 at The Range in Ithaca and April 27 at Lark Hall.

The Park Theater, located in Glens Falls, is hosting a variety of shows in the month of February. From comedy shows to listening parties, there is going to be a lot of fun happening at the venue.
The venue’s mission statement is that it would like to enhance the community and quality of life in Glens Falls by providing a venue for affordable entertainment and educational opportunities.

The bigger shows happening include Damn Tall Buildings and The Wildmans making an appearance at the venue. On February 12, Damn Tall Buildings will be playing. With elements of bluegrass, blues, rock, and vintage swing, the band shares harmonies to make for one joyous night.

On February 26, The Wildmans will be coming. Having shared the stage with many artists, such as Béla Fleck and Billy Strings, the band are highly skilled in playing and combining jazz and blues to create a fresh new sound.

The Park Theater presents ‘Comedy After Dark’ performance featuring acclaimed comedian, Casey James Salengo.
This past Saturday TR3, with Tim Reynolds, rolled through Hudson Falls to perform for a sold out Strand Theatre crowd. Most of you likely know Tim, and have seen him on stage with Dave Matthews Band. While TR3 and DMB are two very different bands, Tim’s playing is a constant. He has a special knack for tailoring moods, creating ambience, and shredding tastefully. These abilities were on display from the start of the show when TR3 opened with “On This Mountain Born in the Clouds,” from their newest album “Wild in the Sky.” The song featured a dreamy, and persistent guitar section that built in intensity over Dan’s driving backbeat.
After “On This Mountain Born in the Clouds” put the crowd into a trance-like state, TR3 broke them out of it with more tracks from the new album. “A Bone to Pick” changed up the tone and had The Strand Theatre rocking. “Galloping Sun Dogs” and “Poet” were the final tracks played from TR3’s new album before they transitioned into some older songs with “Sweet Spot.” Each song was as unique as the last and featured Tim’s ability to create melodies that feel familiar from the first run through.
TR3 took a break from playing original songs when they played “Song for Sonny Liston,” a Mark Knopfler tune that featured Mick’s vocals. The covers did not stop there, and the band played more songs by Peter Gabriel, The Angels, The Doors, and David Bowie. Riders on the Storm was a real surprise, and was unlike any other cover of the song. Tim played Ray Manzarek’s famous rainfall keyboard intro as though it was written for guitar. TR3 then closed out their chunk of covers with Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” that took the energy of the room to a whole new level.
TR3 then transitioned back to playing original tunes as the show wound down, unbeknownst to the fans. The show would finally come to an end with a one song encore. “Golden Flower” was beautifully intricate, was the perfect bookend to the night’s atmospheric opener. TR3 slowly brought the room’s energy back down to Earth as Tim set a loop before leaving the stage. Mick and Dan followed one by one, but not before Dan could slowly play himself out, leaving only the loop Tim had set. Then, for just a moment, there was a feeling of complete peace. Until the track cut out, and the fans realized the show had come to its final end.
TR3 and Tim Reynolds will be on tour for a few more weeks, and you can find dates and tickets on Tim’s website. The trio will be heading out to Ohio and Illinois before returning to the East Coast to play shows in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
