  • Winter Boogie Coming to Carey Lake February 1st

    Statewide Music will present the first annual Winter Boogie Saturday February 1st at Carey Lake in Macedon, NY. This will be the first of many fun-filled family orientated events at the beautiful site that was first used in last years Phall Fest (Check out ‘s review here).winterboogie

    Music under the big tent and seasonal activities such as sledding, ice skating, and cross country skiing will be happening from noon til 9:30 outside, with the night finishing with Rochester’s Into The Now playing 2 full sets in the bar at the front of the property until 2AM. All ages.

    Rochester’s hottest “fab five”, Roots Collider will headline the outdoor portion of the event with their unique brand of rock-raging heavy dance music from 8-9:30PM. Ms D & Bloom Carter, Infrared Radiation Orchestra, Haewa, and Kung Fu Grip (a Sublime tribute) will round out the rest of the days music. Festival goers will also get to enjoy a late night fire show by Solar Flare and Miss Margo. Tickets – 10$ presale, 15$ day of show, are available at Carey Lake Bar & Grill, Aarons Alley and online.

  • Well Worn Boot Now Accepting Submissions for ‘Wild Wild Fest’

    Rowdy, unique and uncontainable are just three [insufficient] words to describe a Well Worn Boot show – and this year’s Wild Wild Fest is sure to be no different.  A music and camping festival held at Willow Creek Winery in Silver Creek, NY, this one-of-a-kind festival focuses on Americana, pop culture, sideshow and Rock-and-Roll.

    Well Worn Boot is  now accepting submissions from “ENDLESS genres”.  Most importantly Wild Wild Fest is about diversity, good music and olympic partying.

    Aside from many great regional acts, this years headliners include Weirdo Folkie Baby Gramps, Video Game Metal-Heads, and Armcannon.

  • Rock On The Range 2014 Announced its Lineup This Week

    The wait is OVER! Get ready for the BIGGEST Rock On The Range 2014 ROTR ever! Now expanding to 3 full days of music starring Guns n’ Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer, Staind, Motorhead, Seether, Chevelle, Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon & many more!

    This year’s event will be held May 16, 17 & 18 at Columbus Crew Stadium in  Columbus, OH. The nationally renowned festival, part of the World’s Loudest Month Festival Series, is centrally located in the heart of the country and has annually drawn huge weekend crowds since its inception in 2007, including a sold-out crowd of over 103,000 fans in 2013.

  • Buffalove Music Festival Announces Second Wave of 2014 Artists

    Buffalove Music Festival 2014 made its second artist announcement yesterday with eight new additions to the already stellar initial lineup that was announced in November 2013. Now in its second iteration, the festival is looking to build upon the successes of their first year and once again provide a showcase for some pretty heavy-hitting regional talent.

    This week’s reveal included smackdab, Lazlo Hollyfeld, Luanjie, Broccoli Samurai, The Little Mountain Band, Aqueous, Imperial Brown, and Groove Force. The full lineup to date includes sixteen incredible bands, half of which are returning vets, who are collectively looking to top last year’s unforgettable weekend.

    One particular highlight from last year was Aqueous performing Pink Floyd’s “Shine on You Crazy Diamond.”  It was recognized by NYS Music staff this past year as one of the Best Jams of 2013.

    The 2014 Buffalove Music Festival will take place at the same location, Willow Creek Winery in Silver Creek, on June 19th-21st. If you think the lineup is already worth it, just wait! The third and final artist announcement will be on Valentine’s Day at Nietzsche’s in Buffalo – organizers are promising the biggest name has yet to be revealed.

  • Coachella Announces Their 2014 Lineup

    In what is sure to start the annual festival announcement craze, Coachella has announced their 2014 lineup. With a newly expanded two-weekend format, the festival will take place from April 11-13 and April 18-20.

    Outkast, performing for the first time in over a decade, will be headlining on Friday night, with Muse and Arcade Fire headlining Saturday and Sunday respectively.  Other notable acts include Queens of the Stone Age, The Replacements, Girl Talk, HAIM, Skrillex, Lorde, Foster the People, Beck, Calvin Harris, Motorhead, Neutral Milk Hotel, MGMT, Empire of the Sun, Nas, and Fatboy Slim.  The complete lineup can be seen on the official poster below. Tickets sold out in 2 hours and 57 minutes.
