  • moe.down 15 Announces Initial Lineup, Tickets on Sale Today

    moe.down 15 has announced their initial lineup and some heavy hitters are in store for moe.rons! Joining moe. this year will be jamtronica gurus Lotus, Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang, Soulive, O.A.R., Vermont’s Twiddle and Buffalo’s Aqueous. Expect more bands to be announced over the next two months to round out an already stellar lineup.

  • Bonnaroo Unveils Massive 2014 Lineup

    Bonnaroo has finally announced their eclectic 2014 lineup. In what could be seen as one of the most diverse festivals of the year, Bonnaroo has outdone themselves once again. For many years now Bonnaroo has made sure that their lineup has a little bit of everything for any music fan out there and has brought rock, hip hop, EDM, blues, country, and jam down to the farm. The headliners this year are made up of Elton John, Kanye West, Jack White, and Lionel Richie. Other major names playing in Tennessee this year are Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Phoenix, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys, Frank Ocean, The Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Ms. Lauryn Hill.bonnaroo-2014-lineup In the past couple of years the festival has shied away from its jam band roots, but this year boasts many bands that could fall under that category with The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey’s McGee, Yonder Mountain String Band, and The John Butler Trio all slated to perform. Other jam bands on the schedule include The Wood Brothers, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Greensky Bluegrass, and Break Science. There are also three Superjams occurring this year with one remaining unannounced at the moment, Skrillex and friends holding down an EDM one, and Ed Helms hosting The Bluegrass Situation.

    Some other noteworthy acts include Janelle Monae, Cake, Ice Cube, Fitz and the Tantrums, Cage the Elephant, Dr. Dog, Mastodon, White Denim, Polica, and Damon Albarn. He talks about everything from getting Elton John at his first US festival ever to acts that continuously come back and grow with Bonnaroo to why they booked Kanye West again after the debacle of 2008.

  • The Gathering at Chaffee’s Announces 2014 Lineup

    The Gathering at Chaffee’s has announced the 2014 lineup for their annual festival held in Girard, PA.  The two-day event will take place July 25th-26th and feature some major regional acts.  GatheringAtChaffees2014

    Now in its 34th year, the festival has grown with the help of Rubber Tramp Live from a backyard party to an all-out festival featuring some must-see bands.  Announced today at noon, the 2014 lineup will include Aqueous, Spiritual Rez, Eric Brewer & Friends, Jimkata, Funktapuss, Conehead Buddha, Broccoli Samurai, BIG Something, Falling Hollywood, Triage Unit, GNOSIS, The LEC, This American Song, Trohoske/Grey Trio, and Chasing Moira split between Friday and Saturday.

    With “Last Call” tickets only being $50, there really aren’t that many other festivals offering this caliber of talent for such a low-cost.  Take our advice and check out this hidden gem of a festival that sits just outside of New York’s borders.

  • Pitchfork Announces First Installation of 2014 Festival Lineup

    As a Valentine’s Day surprise, Pitchfork Music Festival has announced the first round of artists for its 2014 lineup. Taking place July 18-20th in Chicago’s Union Park. The festival will feature headlining performances from Beck, Kendrick Lamar, and Neutral Milk Hotel.

    The groundbreaking festival Electric Forest, held within the magical confines of the Sherwood Forest will return to the legendary Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan on June 26-29, 2014.   • Buffalove Music Festival Completes 2014 Lineup And It’s A Heater

    Buffalo Love FestivalThe Buffalove Music Festival rounded out its 2014 lineup with the final headliner added which was announced during a special Buffalove announcement show this past Friday, February 14th  at Neitzches.

    Jimkata will be headlining the festival with Aqueous, Funktional Flow, Slip Madigan and Mister F  all of whom will be playing two sets each.

    The festival will also include over 20 other bands sure to please fans of all genres of music. Cody Conway, the man behind the music festival really hit this one out of the park and making the second year for this festival, a true winner.

    The festival will run from June 19-21st in Silver Creek, NY at The Willow Creek Winery. Tickets include 3 nights of camping and music.This is an all ages show and gates open on Thursday 6/19/14 at 4pm. Look for the schedule of times in the near future. This is one you will not want to miss.

  • 7th Annual Delfest Announces Lineup, String Cheese Incident Joins the Family

    Delfest 2014Bluegrass fans got what the were waiting for today from the folks at DelFest. The initial lineup announcement has once again struck a chord with the festival goers and the lineup brings DelFest into the spotlight once again. Returning this year are festival favorites Yonder Mountain String Band, Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby with Kentucky Thunder, Railroad Earth, 2 sets with the String Cheese Incident and of course the festival namesake and recent Grammy Winner – The Del McCoury Band.

    DelFest continues to do what festivals must do from year to year to survive, they keep coming back with line-ups that bring the fans. This festival promises to be both a good party and a family-friendly vacation into the world of old-timey bluegrass bands and current popular bands that cross the genres of bluegrass and jam band.

    The most notable new name on this year’s line up is The String Cheese Incident.  Billy Nershi has been at almost every DelFest in one configuration or another, but rumors really started flying after the Del McCoury Band guested with String Cheese on New Year’s.  The two bands have shared the bill several times and the mutual respect between the two camps led to this being a natural fit this year.  The lineup also includes DelFest favorites Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, among others, along with everyone’s favorite emcee, Mr. Joe Craven.

  • Steve Martin Returns to the Rochester Jazz Festival This June – Tickets On Sale Tomorrow!

    XRIJF announced the return of Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers to the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre for the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival 13th Edition, which will be held June 20-28. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 7 at 10:00 a.m. at rochesterjazz.com. Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers last performed in Rochester at the XRIJF in 2012 in two sold-out shows.

    Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell will perform on Saturday, June 21. Tickets are $105 boxes/$95 orchestra/$80 mezzanine and loge/$65 balcony plus $8 per ticket service charge/facility fee. All performances will be at 8:00 p.m. at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.
