  • Electro Pioneers Kraftwerk Announces “Multimedia Tour 2025” Kicking Off in March

German electro legends Kraftwerk has announced their return to North America for the “Multimedia Tour 2025.”

    Kraftwerk multimedia tour

The tour kicks off on March 6 at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia and wraps up over a month later on April 24 in Dallas, TX. The tour sees a total of 27 dates and includes two stops in New York. Kraftwerk dazzles audiences at Kings Theatre on March 13 and the legendary Beacon Theatre on March 14. The “Multimedia Tour 2025” commemorates Kraftwerk’s breakthrough album Autobahn and their first U.S. Tour, which took place in 1975.

Earlier this year Kraftwerk completed an extraordinary nine-night concert series celebrating 50 years of Autobahn–which was composed, produced, and recorded by founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1974–at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The shows garnered rave reviews in the press, a compass for what’s in store for the “Multimedia Tour.”

The multi-media project Kraftwerk was started in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. They set up their electronic Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf, Germany, where they conceived and produced all Kraftwerk albums. By the mid 1970’s Kraftwerk had achieved international recognition for their revolutionary electronic ‘sound scapes’ and their musical experimentation with robotics and other technical innovations.

With their visions of the future, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack for the digital age of the 21st century. Their compositions, using innovative techniques, synthetic voices and computerized rhythms, have had a major international influence across an entire range of music genres: from Electro to Hip-Hop, from Techno to SynthPop. In their live performances, Kraftwerk composer, author and producer Ralf Hütter illustrates his belief in the respective contributions of both man and machine.

  • Lucinda Williams Announces Run of Shows in Port Chester, Buffalo, and NYC

Revered alt-country singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams is bringing her acclaimed live show on the road for four dates in New York State. The tour begins on October 11 in Fort Worth, TX and wraps up on February 28, 2025, in Miami, FL.

Lucinda Williams’ tour sees 18+ dates across the US, including four dates in NY. Williams plays Town Ballroom in Buffalo on November 8, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on November 9, and the legendary Beacon Theatre in NYC on December 1 and 2. Williams’ shows at the Beacon Theatre include a benefit for rock artist Jesse Malin who has suffered a rare spinal cord stroke in 2023 leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

To wit, her stunning, sixteenth studio album, Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart, brims over with some of the best work of her career. • Recording of Allman Brothers Band Final Concert to Be Released

A recording of the legendary Allman Brothers Band’s final concert at the Beacon Theatre in 2014 is being released on October 25, nearly 10 years since the finale.

Recording of Allman Brothers Band Final Concert at The Beacon Theatre in 2014 Releasing October 25

On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, after 45 years of performing the greatest live music in rock history, the Allman Brothers Band had arrived at its final concert. The dream created by Duane Allman in 1969 had come to fruition, gone through triumph and tragedy, joy and sorrow, flourished and faltered, and ultimately persevered to reach the pinnacle of the blues/rock genre. The road had seemingly gone on forever, but, in 2014, the group decided that forever would come to an end at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

On Friday, October 25, in recognition of the 10th anniversary, rock ‘n’ roll history will be shared as the Final Concert 10-28-14 is officially released via Peach Records. Re-mastered here with improved sound quality, Final Concert 10-28-14 will be available digitally on October 25 and as a special 3-CD package with extensive 16-page booklet featuring exclusive photos and liner notes on November 22.

Recording of Allman Brothers Band Final Concert at The Beacon Theatre in 2014 Releasing October 25

The Beacon was the appropriate location for the ABB to make its last stand; the Allmans had logged more appearances there than any other venue and had also set a Broadway record, with 237 consecutive sold-out shows at the venerable hall. Starting in 1989, the Allman’s annual run at the Beacon became a rite of passage in Manhattan.

Fans from around the globe traveled to the Upper West Side to be captivated by the group’s riveting shows. The band wanted a set list that would be a montage of its career, one that would pay homage to the original six – Duane, Gregg, Jaimoe, Butch, Berry Oakley and Dickey Betts – while also drawing from the group’s vast catalogue. With input from everyone, Warren Haynes compiled a spectacular, three-set show. Almost 30 songs, drawn from six ABB albums, along with three strong covers that represented the musical trajectory of the group.

  • Trevor Noah Hosts Two-Night Event in Celebration in NYC of New Book, “Into the Uncut Grass”

Best-selling author and comedian Trevor Noah has announced he will return to New York City to host a two-night celebration of the publication of his latest book, Into the Uncut Grass. The book will be released on October 8.

In the meantime, he will be hosting his events at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan on release day, and at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on October 9.

    trevor noah

During these celebrations, Trevor Noah plans to do more than just party. Joining a moderator on stage, he offers a deep dive into the essence of his latest work.

Trevor is the author of the 2016 #1 New York Times bestseller Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, a memoir depicting the hardships of growing up mixed-raced in apartheid South Africa. His storytelling ability caught the attention of readers of all ages, adapting the bestseller into a young readers’ version in 2019. This year, he’s back with another testament to his storytelling abilities with his latest book, Into the Uncut Grass.

However, unlike Born a Crime, Trevor Noah’s latest book is a work of fiction rather than a memoir. Trevor’s new book is a gorgeously illustrated and moving modern fable for readers of all ages about forgiveness, acceptance, and the secret to solidarity. Inspired by classic children’s fables like Alice in Wonderland and The Little Prince, he adjusts these longstanding stories to fit his own personal experience, as well as

“Few memories in my life bring me more joy than the first few books I read as a child,” says Trevor Noah. “Either with my mom or reading alone, those simple stories shaped so much of how I saw the world. I hope this story can bring a little bit of that same joy to readers of all ages.”

General on-sale for these celebrations begins on Friday, August 9 at 10 am local. Tickets are available with this link here.

  • New Supergroup BEAT To Pay Tribute To King Crimson

Newly formed supergroup BEAT will be touring the country this fall and paying tribute to one of the legendary progressive rock bands of all time, King Crimson. BEAT is spearheaded by a pair of iconic guitar players in Adrian Belew and Steve Vai who are joined by Tool drummer Danny Carey and bassist Tony Levin. The tour includes three stops in New York: New York City’s Beacon Theatre on October 5, The Kodak Center on October 19 and at The Egg in Albany on October 21.

BEAT will be reinterpreting three different King Crimson albums in DisciplineBeat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. Former Crimson band members Belew and Levin will be joined by Carey and Vai to put their spin on these and other selected deep cuts. The supergroup has the blessing of King Crimson leader Robert Fripp who is even credited with giving the band its name.

“The 1981 through 1984 King Crimson created a music all its own. Timeless. Beautiful. Complex. Fierce. For the fans who lived through it then, and the ones who never got to witness it, our aim is to bring it to life again. A monumental task but we’re going for it! There are not enough exclamation points to express my excitement!”
