Boojum’s “Electric Wonderland” Lights Up Brooklyn Art Haus with Psychedelic Splendor
This fall, Brooklyn is set to experience a kaleidoscope of psychedelic marvels as New York rising stars Boojum take over Brooklyn Art Haus for a four-show run of “Electric Wonderland.” The residency will feature the band’s distinctive fusion of improvisational jam-band rock and immersive theatrical performances, redefining the live music experience.

Every other Friday from September 13th through October 25th, Boojum will turn Brooklyn Art Haus into a playground of psychedelic fantasy, taking participants on a journey into the fantastical realms of Alice in Wonderland and other Lewis Carroll classics. Meant to be more than a series of concerts, “Electric Wonderland” is planned as an evolving spectacle, with every performance a new adventure featuring surprise guests and a dynamic setlist that guarantees no two nights are ever the same.

“Electric Wonderland goes beyond music. We are creating a one-of-a-kind visually and sonically stunning theatrical experience,” said Sarah Elaz, bassist of Boojum. “By making every night of this residency different with no repeats and plenty of unexpected twists, we are embracing and evolving what it means to be a part of the modern jam band scene.”

The residency marks a pivotal moment for Boojum as they build on their debut performance of “Electric Wonderland” at Brooklyn Bowl to establish a new home for their ambitious, immersive production. Boojum’s debut EP, Electric Wonderland Vol. 1: Down the Rabbit Hole, released in April, set the stage for what’s to expect, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the group’s ability to blend jam, EDM, funk, pop, and progressive influences into a captivating theatrical experience for fans seeking a feast for their eyes and ears.

Expect elaborate costumes, intricate choreography, and spellbinding projections that complement Boojum’s eclectic and improvisational soundtrack. For those ready to dive into the rabbit hole where psychedelic rock meets theatrical spectacle, “Electric Wonderland” promises an unforgettable journey.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Play 3 Hour Marathon Show at Forest Hills Stadium

Australian band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard formed in 2010, mashing up a combination of prospective band names into their now iconic name. The name tells you almost everything you need to know about this band of Australian goofs and their ability to turn any concept and sound into a piece of complex and intriguing art. In the past 14 years, they have released 26 studio albums covering many genres, from psychedelic rock to metal to indie and everything in-between. That’s almost one full album every six months for over a decade. King Gizzard gave us a taste of all of it Friday, August 16th at Forest Hills Stadium.

Opening for King Gizzard was Geese, coming off of their well-received second studio album, 3D Country and 4D Country EP. Geese’s sound fits well within Gizzard’s world, with more of an american blues lean meets Pearl Jam feeling to their sound. With these shows, Gizzard took a page out of the Grateful Dead’s book, playing three-hour sets with a changing setlist. Comparing the setlists from their Friday and Saturday shows at Forest Hills Stadium, they didn’t repeat a single song across the two shows. Their discography is so deep that they could repeat that feat across almost a dozen of these three-hour marathon sets without ever repeating a song.

If you are a fan of a more niche Gizzard song, now may be your opportunity to see it live as they trawl through their discography over the coming months. The setlist for this first Forest Hills show was a perfect welcome to fans who may not have had a chance to see the band before. The band played a majority of their most popular tracks, with an overall metal lean and a healthy serving of Gizzard’s home base psychadelic funk/rock to round out the 25 song setlist.

With the lack of breaks and varied repertoire, Gizzard amazingly suffered very few hiccups during their set, playing an almost seamless blend of tracks with some especially unique transitions between songs that made the audience’s ears perk up. All of the band’s members are multi-instrumentalists, adding to the complexity and giving King Gizzard their unique layered sound. They invited a fan named Gabby who was holding a sign in the audience on stage to sing the intro to “Nuclear Fusion.” The intro is probably best described as throat singing with some heavy effects layered ontop and Gabby killed it.

Another notable aspect of King Gizzard’s live performances is the audience, a unique combination of deadheads, metal heads, and monster heads, people dressed in a smattering of medieval clothing and monster costumes harkening to King Gizzard’s ever growing lore. Many of these costumes touch on themes inherent to Gizzard’s visual media and lyricism such as the eponymous awareness around the earths climate and the eponymous King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard. King Gizzard’s media presence is heavily based in fantasy and sci fi and has given way to fans concocting a unique world out of an amalgamation of lyrics and imagery. The looseness of this world is what makes their crowds so unique, as fans craft outfits that fit into a world created of their own creation, serving as a true reflection of the wearer in a way that typical fan regalia can’t.

The show stopped exactly at 10pm due to a hard curfew implemented by Forest Hills Stadium last year in an effort to cut down on noise complaints. Following their shows in Queens, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard continue on with their North America tour, which is a marathon itself, with 36 more shows through November of this year. Then in May of 2025 they make their way to Lisbon, Portugal for the European leg, which extends through June.

Electric Forest 2024: A Magical Recap
Electric Forest 2024 friends and family all gathered from thousands of miles away to experience the magic that resides in the middle of the woods in Rothbury Michigan. The festival ran from June 20 to June 23 but people gathered days before this to set up camp and embrace the full forest experience.

Early arrivers got treated to pre-party sets at the Evolve Afters stage where performances by Super Future and Tripp St. wooed the crowd. Their experimental bass music gave people the perfect hype to kick off this festival weekend.

Day 1 – Welcome to the Forest

First time Forest attendees and vets quickly entered the grounds the first day in a heavy anticipation of what the festival had in store for them this year. Art installations encompassed the scene including beautiful murals, interactive games, light installments, huge statues, and more. So many people are seen embracing their creative spirit from checking out vendor shops, to watching live painting, and exploring the art spread across the trees.

The heat was booming which made The Observatory stage set in the middle of the trees the place to be. It also helped that international electronic producer CloZee’s Odyzey label was doing a stage takeover. This featured performances from Dixon’s Violin, Redrum, Zen Selekta, Super Future, Tripp St., Zingara, and Marsh.

Zen Selekta’s energy at the Observatory was insane. She knows exactly how to handle a crowd and leave them wanting more. Her music intertwines dark vibes with ethereal melodies and ethnic influences.

Over on the Ranch main stage though DRAMA had a soulful performance. This multicultural collaboration is between producer Na’el Shehade’s chic house-infused production style and vocalist Via Rosa’s inspirational delivery. Their dynamic is so complementary it plays on patterns of hip-hop and bossa nova.

Back at the Observatory Zingara made her return to Electric Forest, but this time with a night time set. Fresh off of her Code of Dreamz tour, she gave the crowd tons of new music and remixes to listen to. She performed her tracks, “Unlock Your Keys,” and “Up is Down.” Seeing a Zingara set transports music through the mind and body in a unique way.

The Observatory stage had a round of insane performances from some of the most talented producers. After countless artists played, the electronic rhythmic figure CloZee came on stage for a secret set. She shared she always wanted to play at this specific stage but with her status now it became difficult with the available capacity around that area. This made her secret performance even that much more special and intimate for the lucky fans who got to experience it.

Day 2 – Bass Rush

It’s a Forest tradition that on the second day bass-heads camp out at the Tripolee stage for the numerous dubstep artists that throw-down hard one after the other. People brought out their chill-bos and flow toys for the hard-hitting tunes.

Up and coming artist Canabliss kicked off this day with her pink visuals. She plays on funky beats and is constantly remixing booming tracks. Canabliss even remixed the latest Irish hit “The Spark” making people go crazy. She did mix in some of her own tunes including “Saudade.”

More talented women steam-rolled the crowd with their high energy. The bass that day was flourishing to say the least. Dubstep producers Level Up and ALLEYCVT each had a set that was unbelievable. Level Up brought Subtronics out for their latest collab they’ve been working on together.

ALLEYCVT’s visuals and pyro took her performance to the next level. This was her debut at Electric Forest and it did not disappoint. Headbangers were going wild during her set and moshing at any chance they got. Many people left her performance immediately wanting to see more.

Later into the night Pretty Lights had their comeback performance at Ranch Arena. After 10 years Pretty Lights came back to the fields in Michigan and they left zero crumbs. They brought their own fusion of electronic beats, poetic samples, and modular synthesizers. This musical project is transformative and definitely leaned into more of a jam experience in the Forest.

Back at the Tripolee stage though the late-night dubstep DJs were still giving hard-hitting performances. Boogie T, ATLiens, Wooli, and BTSM finished the round up. BTSM closed out the stage with their mesh of heavy bass and techno. Lately they have been performing with their new anime visuals from Attack on Titan and watching that from the crowd is insane to see.

Day 3 – Rain Rain Go Away

Okay maybe it’s not the rain so much as the storms that Forest goers had to undergo this day that needed to go. Many started off their day at the Brainery getting in their daily dose of positive affirmations and good vibes. All week different classes were held there including meditation, yoga sessions, and shuffling courses.

Others who entered the festival grounds early attended a party at the Chapel where people got to celebrate their freaky unique selves. And if some attendees got there at the right time special wedding ceremonies would take place.

Unfortunately though this day ended quite early as everyone inside the festival grounds was told to evacuate to their campsites due to severe storms coming in. The intense thunder storms lasted for hours flooding campsites with heavy rain and creating so many mud pits. Many artists didn’t get to perform their set due to this.

They didn’t open the festival back up until after midnight pushing so many artists to now overlap with one another. When the gates opened back up fans ran to the stages to get a good spot for the few late night producers who didn’t lose their set. Subtronics got to throw down at Ranch. His tesseract visuals are stunning and his mixing is top of the EDM game by a landslide. He got to play his flip of Hozier’s song “Too Sweet” and his latest single “Sploinky Dub.”

LSZEE, also known as the project by LSDREAM and CloZee, made their first ever debut as a duo this night. They performed so many unreleased songs and fun remixes. The euphoric energy these two artists brought is unmatched. The two know how valuable certain sound wave frequencies play on mood and they utilize this to take their audience on a journey. These renowned producers got to perform their songs “FRENCH DREAM” and “CHRYSALIS” for the first time as well. A night that people thought might not happen throughout the day was finished with an absolute breathtaking experience.

Day 4 – The Forest Family

Despite the third day having quite the unexpected journey, so many people were ready to fully embrace what the final day of Forest had to offer. Many who missed out on the scavenger hunt the days before went to the “Time Travel Agency” to receive their quest and start their excursion. Others went inside the Dream Emporium to watch a wrestling match, roller-skate, and even go kayaking.

An absolute highlight of the final day, if not the entire weekend, was the return of Lightcode by LSDREAM. In the afternoon at Sherwood Court, LSDREAM presented his sound healing and ambient bliss-inspired project. This meditative experience is one that no words can do justice. It truly is so transformative that it left so many people in tears. The exercise is unlike no other that sets to reopen peoples’ hearts and minds to what not only the festival, but the human experience should consist of.

Later in the day, the up and coming trio Levity performed a set at the Observatory. This group first started taking off last year at Electric Forest when the festival needed someone to cover a slot at the Honeycomb stage and one member just so happened to bring his USB. Their 2023 last minute set ended up popping off online and caused this group to get so much commotion behind their name. It truly is a full circle moment watching Levity grow from a last minute fill-in to a night time set at forest. This group encompasses what Electric Forest is all about and their performance was nothing short of eccentric.

Experimental bass artist INZO also had a performance that was exceptionally moving. He played on Sherwood Court and of course utilized his signature Alan Watts verbiage. Some tracks fans got to hear were “Overthinker” and “Drift Like a Cloud, Float Like Water.”

Into the night, fans gathered at Ranch Arena for GIGANTIC NGHTMRE. This is a project by Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE that has such heavy hitting beats. The layered sound from the drums, saxophone, and mixing on stage blends effortlessly. The trio definitely know how to pump up a crowd and provide that much needed energy boost. The pyro matched with the fun visuals and fireworks were captivating. The group also performed a good amount of riddim which is exactly what the Forest family needed.

After GIGANTIC NGHTMRE ended many gathered up for a performance from the dubstep king himself, Excision. However, this was shortly met with an evacuation announcement due to another wave of severe storms that were coming in. Unfortunately there was no re-entry after the evacuation notice and this sudden goodbye left many upset.

As much as the storms were such an inconvenience to people it didn’t ruin the Forest family’s time. You can’t control the weather, but you can control how you respond to the weather. And how people responded to it was by dancing in the rain, creating parties at campsites, and enjoying this time everyone got to spend together in the middle of the woods in Michigan.

That is exactly what Electric Forest is all about. As much as you can play out how your weekend is going to go and schedule what artists you’re going to see, you truly can’t plan for everything. Surrendering to those moments of disarray and wonder can lead you to some of the best times. “While timing is everything, the present is where true discovery lies.” Electric Forest has always provided those moments of discovering what is really important and serves as a reminder of why we’re all here on this Earth: to let go and enjoy our time together. Maybe we didn’t get to see an Excision Electric Forest set, but at least we got to dance in the rain with our friends.

Goose sell out Forest Hills; Biggest show yet

On Saturday, June 29, Forest Hills Stadium in Queens saw Goose fans flocking towards the venue well before doors opened. With strong but pleasant winds blowing in alongside them, the anticipation was undeniable as large lines formed to snag posters and merch. Long time friends reuniting, new friends being made, the vibes were high as everyone in the audience eagerly awaited what was to come.

Forest Hills was their second stop in New York on what has been a lengthy nationwide spring and early summer tour. If it wasn’t already hard enough to deny how unstoppable this band is, the announcement that this show was their biggest headlining show to date all but solidifies it, selling out the venue of 13,000 people. This isn’t the first time their draw power in New York was in full view, the band previously sold out two nights at Radio City Music Hall, boasting crowds of more than 6,000.

Excitement was at its peak when Goose hit the stage, greeted by the audience chanting “Gooooose” loudly, but low pitched. As is also usual custom, Peter Anspach saluted the crowd with “What’s up, New York City?!” before embarking on what was to be an evening of pure music-magic. The super catchy and funky notes of “Hot Tea” rang out to open the first set. Hips and arms swayed side to side, smiles were everywhere as fans matched lead singer and guitarist Rick Mitarotunda’s scatting.

The first set featured covers, foreshadowing what would come much later. The band tapped into their deep catalog by busting out “Hot Love & the Lazy Poet” from their own side project, Vasudo, and following that, “I Would Die 4 U,” a tribute to the illustrious Prince. The evening’s exceptional vibes were expounded during set-break, as the audience bore witness and cheered on a marriage proposal which saw the bride to be saying yes enthusiastically.

Goose showcased just how deep and expansive their catalogue of music is during the second set, with electrifying renditions of “Travelers” and “Elmeg The Wise.” A beautiful version of “Thatch” came after, bringing the evening to uncharted heights. Closing out set 2 was the title track off their 2023 album, Dripfield, a song that truly exemplifies the essence of what Goose represents as a band.

A brave and bold new frontier, honoring the footsteps of their predecessors, but carving out their own path. An exciting contemporary take on the classic jam band model, incorporating new sounds and tech with traditional instruments and improvisation. Jams that serve very well written songs, not songs that serve the epic jams. All of this enhanced by an impressive lighting design by Andrew Goedde, seeing Goose live is a must for any fan of live music.

The encore saw the band once again tapping into their deep arsenal, busting out one more cover from Vasudo, “Give It Time”, which was the perfect note to end to the evening on. As light wind and rain began to trickle in, the audience flocked out the venue paying the elements no mind as the anticipation began once again for their next show. Goose will embark on another lengthy fall tour, which tickets are on sale for now.

Goose Flies to New Heights at CMAC

Nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of Canandaigua, CMAC proved to be the perfect setting for an wonderful evening of music with Goose, the jam band phenomenon that has been capturing hearts and ears across the country.

As the sun dipped below the horizon after a bluebird day, casting a golden glow over the amphitheater, Goose took to the stage amidst thunderous applause. The band’s lineup—comprising Rick Mitarotonda on guitar and vocals, Peter Anspach on keyboard, guitar and vocals, Trevor Weekz on bass, Jeff Arevalo on percussion and Cotter Ellis on drums —immediately set a vibrant tone with their eclectic mix of rock, funk, jazz, and electronic elements. Known for their improvisational prowess, Goose wasted no time in diving into extended jams.

The first set started off strong with “Hot Love & The Lazy Poet,” and then “Mr. Action,” followed by a blistering cover of “Me and My Uncle,” the song by John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas that was made famous by the Grateful Dead and one of the highlights of the show. “Seekers on the Ridge” Parts 1 and 2 were followed by “Drive,” and then “So Ready” to end the first set.

Individually, each member of Goose shone brightly throughout the night. Mitarotonda’s soulful vocals and intricate guitar work provided the backbone of many songs, while Anspach’s keyboard solos added fiery bursts of energy to the mix. Weekz’ basslines were deep and resonant, anchoring the rhythm section alongside Ellis’ dynamic and precise drumming, which drove the band forward with relentless energy. The chemistry between the band members was palpable, with each musician feeding off the others’ energy to create moments of pure musical synergy.

Set 2 started off with a cover of “Fish in the Sea” by the New Zealand band Fat Freddy’s Drop. Then came another highlight of the night, “Tumble,” an extended jam where Goose brought the crowd to joyous heights with blissful high-energy guitar. Next was a serene “Red Bird,” followed by “726,” and then a lengthy “Arcadia” to end the set. The encore was a rocking “Madhuvan” that ended with a triumphal bow to thunderous applause.

Goose’s performance at CMAC was nothing short of spectacular. From their electrifying musical explorations to their heartfelt connection with the audience, Goose proved once again why they are at the forefront of the jam band scene. As they continue on the road, fans and new followers looking to catch the wave should be sure to pick up a ticket and treat themselves to a wonderful night of music.

The Electric Forest 2024 Set Survival Guide
With less than a month away from Electric Forest 2024 many are eager to get back to the magic along the secluded acres of Michigan. With the unlimited amount of music to hear and activities to participate in, it can be overwhelming deciding where to go and who to see. Luckily, NYS Music has broken down some of the highlights that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Top 10 Acts to See at Electric Forest 2024

1. Excision

This comes as no surprise as the crowned dubstep DJ has without a doubt paved the way for EDM. Excision is a producer that knows the secret to making his set better is through listening to his fans. His expertise in the art meshed with his devotion to the fan experience is what makes his sets a must see. He utilizes immersive visuals that have even Kanye West amazed and seeking this kind of talent on his team. All headbangers will pile in for his performance and you should too!

2. Pretty Lights
It’s been a decade since Pretty Lights has been to Rothbury and that’s what has people absolutely going wild for his name on this lineup. This musical project fuses electronic beats, poetic samples, modular synthesizers, and live musicians. This set is about to transport listeners to cosmic planes with his light show. Pretty Lights’ 5 year hiatus has allowed to him to construct his new inter-dimensional sound-ship system that will utilize numerous mediums.

3. INZO

If you are a fan of introspective music compiled with euphoric feelings then INZO has the show for you. This young artist is known for blending Alan Watts spokesmen speeches into his tunes that brings nothing but beautiful energy into the atmosphere. He encapsulates what Electric Forest is all about and his set is about to enhance all the magic that this festival has.

4. The Disco Biscuits

This band is no surprise to everyone that has seen them live at least once in their lifetime. The Disco Biscuits are pioneers of “trance-fusion,” bridging the gap between EDM and jam rock. So for all jam lovers wanting to delve deeper into EDM and all bass fiends looking to branch out, this band is the answer for you. Philadelphia’s own brings people together because you just can’t help but dance.

5. Everything Always

All house music lovers are undeniably not missing this iconic performance and you shouldn’t either. This project is brought together by two booming producers in the industry who have taken over the mainstream scene as well from their catchy songs. Dom Dolla and John Summit are huge names in the festival space. Each track they release has toppled the charts so seeing them together is going to bring a set that is one to remember.

6. Subtronics

Bassheads and riddem connoisseurs will always catch a Subtronics set. Heavy bass might deter some people from seeing certain artists. However, Subtronics has to be one of the most talented producers in the game right now and if you miss seeing him then you’re missing out. Each summer festival set he plays is so different from the last. He constantly is bringing in new mixes, insane visuals, and crazy drops that always get jaws floored. Subtronics is an artist who if you miss out on him now you will regret it later.

7. Boogie T

Boogie T has always brought the funk into EDM. He gets weird with his sound in the best way possible. His Louisiana roots give his tunes a twang that dubstep hasn’t seen. The myriad of instruments he utilizes enhances his artistry and obviously there is no choice at that point but to boogie.

8. Lettuce

Bring your greens to this performance because the vibes will be effortlessly high. This GRAMMY Award nominated six-piece feeds the souls of many with their music. With over three decades together, Lettuce has cemented their status as boundary pushing innovators. Their sound compiles jazz chords, psychedelic passages, big horns and hip-hop elements.

9. LSZEE

This project has fans going absolutely insane. LSDREAM and CloZee join together for a duo performance that is about to be a moment in EDM history. Both producers have left their mark on the scene with their soul transformative music. Now that they’re coming together this is only going to transcend that but ten-fold over. They spent the past year writing an album together and meshing their artistry. All of which will debut right at Electric Forest. Both artists dedicate their music to the human experience and allowing their audience to reconnect with the Earth around them. Forest attendees will be the first to get a glimpse of this meditative and enriching experience.

10. The String Cheese Incident

Last but most definitely not least is the Electric Forest founders themselves; The String Cheese Incident. This jam band from Colorado has had 30 years under their belt to build their unique sound. They utilize bluegrass sounds and rock to bring a groovy show to their fans. They are the backbone of Electric Forest and always have a big iconic moment to celebrate the festivities. The group always plays two sets so make it your mission to catch at least one!

Glass Pony Performs at Albany’s Palace Sessions on June 7

Psychedelic groove circus, Glass Pony, is set to perform at Albany’s The Palace Theatre on June 7 as part of the Palace Sessions.

The Albany native band focuses on danceable music with influences from the 60’s and 70’s and incorporates a jam band style of performance. In 2019 they released their first self titled album and their most recent 2023 album is titled Washed Away. The band is made up of Chanda Dewey (drums), Eddie Hotaling (guitar, lead vocals), Jeff Picarazzi (bass), and Greg Pittz (lead guitar).

Although it was built in 1931, The Palace Performing Arts Centers was established as a not-for-profit corporation in 1984 and since then, has hosted a variety of talent including The Rolling Stones, Jerry Seinfled and Tony Bennet. The theater was always used to entertain the Albany community as it was first used as a cinema for the “talkies.”

The Palace sessions are a series of recorded and filmed live performances. The sessions were created with the help of the city of Albany and Mirth Films in 2020. The goal was to bring live music, via YouTube, to a quarantined audience.

God Street Wine Announce Four Shows in NY and NJ this September

Jam band God Street Wine has announced they are playing four live shows, three of which in New York this September.

God Street Wine was formed in 1988 by Lo Faber, Aaron Maxwell, Dan Pifer, Jon Bevo, and Tom Osander. The band hails from NYC and are known for their multi-genre approach to music. They perform in the styles of Jam Band, Jazz, Bluegrass, Pop, Reggae, Funk, Rock, Psychedelia and so on. The group has had infrequent yet memorable musical gatherings since their separation in 1999.

2024 brings more activity for God Street Wine. On top of marking the 30th anniversary of the bandâs first major label release, $1.99 Romances, and digitally releasing the long-lost Hot Sweet & Juicy, the band is also releasing three albums from their catalog on vinyl for the first time. This all culminates with the original fives-ome performing together again with four New York area shows.

God Street Wine sees the stage in Woodstock on September 20 and 21. They also perform at The Cutting Room in NYC on September 27. Lastly, the band plays in Asbury Park, New Jersey on September 28. These four shows welcome fans of GSW and those who simply love music. There is a bit of everything for everyone when it comes to GSW’s music.

Band Profile: Count Blastula Brings Groove from Syracuse

Count Blastula, a funk/jam band from Syracuse have been well over 15 years in the making, and now the group has landed on a killer lineup that is really turning up the heat.

Count Blastula is characterized by a funky, groovy, get-up-and-move style of jamming. They perform enticing originals and covers combined with a dose of magic that propels the group into serious jamming territory. The band brings their talent everywhere from large festivals and theater shows to private events and intimate local bar gigs. Count Blastula bring their own brand of top-shelf homegrown music to events of all shapes and sizes.

The group displays a diverse full soundscape via a multitude of instruments that can be heard on any given tune, along with a dynamic, and ever-changing flow of rhythms, tones, and arrangements of sounds. Each song by Count Blastula encompasses a unique number of changes and musical movements.

The current band consists of five members: Adam Fisher on guitar/vocals, Jeremy Walts on bass/vocals, Mike Dâambrosio on keys, and Dave Schlossberg and Dave Donley on percussion. When the group tours, they may add a few others like a saxophonist, or other various instruments.

The group has released five unique EPs over the last 12 years. Their music is very much inspired by a wide variety of genres. Funk, rock, jam band, jazz, hip hop, country and more are heard throughout the tunes. You can hear inspiration from Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, Charlie Daniels, and Phish from the music.

Electric Forest Adds More Artists to 2024 Lineup

Electric Forest Music Festival announced an additional 40+ artists to their 2024 lineup coming to Rothbury, Michigan. Taking place June 20-23, Electric Forest maintains its reputation of being one of the most immersive and and interactive festivals in the world. It’s fostered atmosphere of connection and discovery are why it sells out so fast.

This renowned festival blessed their attendees even further by making their 2024 lineup even more stacked. Some of the new additions include melodic bass maestro Seven Lions, experimental bass expert G Jones, and hard techno priestess Sara Landry. They also brought on the Grammy-nominated band Hiatus Kaiyote and post-punk connoisseurs Emo Nite.

Electric Forest maintains their priorities of keeping a mixture of genres performing across their fields. They invited Nashville’s Brandi Cyrus and Chicago’s rising trio Levity. Plus, tech house sensations ODD MOB & OMNOM are presenting HYPERBEAM. Deep bass lovers will be pleased to know that the multi-instrumentalist Boogie T got added to the line-up. His blend of dubstep and funk is like no other in the scene right now.

These new additions are joining an already stacked roster of headliners making this festival a can’t miss in 2024. Some of which include, the dubstep king himself Excision, Forest favorite Pretty Lights, and the most skilled producer in the game, Subtronics.

Collaborative sets are taking forest by a storm this year. Look out for EVERYTHING ALWAYS (Dom Dolla & John Summit), LSZEE (Close & LSDREAM) and Gigantic NGHTMRE (Big Gigantic & NGHTMRE). Jam band lovers are always in for a treat at Forest with of course two performances from The String Cheese Incident. Plus sets from The Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee will be must sees this year.

Electric Forest has remained committed to constant re-imagination of what the festival experience can be and they do this flawlessly. They listen to their fans and make a blended lineup full of so many talented artists across an array of genres.
