  • Glass Animals Announce “Tour Of Earth” With a Stop at MSG This Summer

English rock band Glass Animals have announced their North American and UK/Europe 2024 “Tour Of Earth” which will include a show at the Madison Square Garden (MSG) on August 13.

    Glass Animals MSG

With the tour announcement, the Grammy nominated band Glass Animals have also shared the details of their highly anticipated fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much, which is set for release on July 19. The album is introduced by the band’s new single accompanied by the visualizer “Creatures in Heaven,” which is out to stream everywhere.

The band’s upcoming album, I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to their 2020’s critically acclaimed album Dreamland, which sold over 12 million copies globally and gave life to their single “Heat Waves,” which became the band’s record-breaking song. The single was the  the first song by a British band since the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” which went number one in 1995 for five consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, and also their  first song to reach number one with a single writer and producer since Pharell’s “Happy”.

The four-man band’s line-up consists of Dave Bayley on vocals, guitar, keyboards, drums, songwriting, Drew MacFarlane on guitar, keyboards, backing vocals, Edmund Irwin-Singer on bass, keyboards, backing vocals, and Joe Seaward on drums. When talking about the upcoming album, the band’s frontman Dave found himself struggling to make sense of this newfound global stardom, having watched it all happen while the world was in lockdown.

He shared, “Life can change dramatically, but sometimes you aren’t able to change as quickly on a personal level. You end up feeling like a spectator. And then you are asked and expected to be a certain type of person, a different person. But…I wasn’t sure how. It confused me to the point of not knowing who I was or if anything was real.” It took being stranded on a cliff in a wooden house on stilts during one of California’s biggest storms in history to push that feeling into a full existential crisis.

In forced isolation, watching trees tumble down mountains and assuming “death was coming,” Dave began asking questions of himself, of the universe, and of the human experience: namely, love. As he came to accept himself as an introvert, Dave realized that “human connection and the love between us is much bigger, more important, and more complex than anything else”. “Creatures in Heaven” is the sublime first glimpse into ten intimate love stories set against the backdrop of the universe.

  • Jake Trevor Releases Powerful New Single “Should I”

NYC Singer-songwriter Jake Trevor has released a new powerful single “Should I” ahead of his new self-titled album Jake Trevor – set to release on May 24.

    Jake Trevor

Jake Trevor started his career performing in the subway system, with his original music that included soul, pop, folk, and alt-rock, and songs inspired by other artists such as Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, and Rihanna. His songs explore self-discovery, doubt, sexuality, confidence, and achieving one’s dreams.

Trevor is an artist who resists categorization, with a sound that is dark and upbeat. “I believe anything is possible”, Trevor says. Having had a turbulent childhood, growing up in a hostile and homophobic family and finding refuge in creativity from an early age, he credits music for saving his life, making him resilient and giving him purpose.

In his newly released single “Should I”, Trevor sings about being overwhelmed and wondering what to do next. His heartfelt lyrics and deeply moving voice are like a boat dancing on the piano’s ocean waves, especially when he hits the high notes singing, “What would you do if you had one day left to live / Who would you love if your heart had one last chance?”

With the release of a new single, Trevor also shared that he will release his debut self-titled album Jake Trevor on May 24, taking his fans on a journey from piano balladry and electropop club bangers, to coffeehouse folk and soulful indie-pop. “This album has a throughline of rebellion and empowerment. It spans from deeply sad or romantic ballads to the utter jubilant glee of my heart-pounding dance anthems,” he said. The self-titled album takes on topics of family, homophobia, religion, love and sex – all through a lens of passion and hope.

Fans can stream “Should I” on all streaming platforms, and to learn more about Jake Trevor, visit here.

When the soul singer released Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite, his highly regarded Columbia-debut in April 1996, it completely changed the genre of soul music. • Rob Eberle Releases New Single “Half of You”

Long Island-based singer and producer Rob Eberle has shared a new heart wrenching single, “Half of You,” out now.

    rob Eberle

Rob Eberle is a young, talented singer-songwriter as well as a producer from Long Island. Rob’s unique ability to use music to express his own and other people’s life experiences is what makes him stand out. He continues to show his creative power behind all of his songs, writing the melodies and lyrics and working with different producers to add special moments to every single one.

The experiences and moments of Eberle’s life, as well as the lives of others around him, are glimpsed through his songs. Eberle has created his own genre-bending niche in the world of darker alternative pop-rock, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists such as FINNEAS, Elliott Smith, Billie Eilish, Jeremy Zucker, Olivia Rodrigo, and Alexander 23.

Rob’s new single “Half of You” is a moving song that explores the difficulties of a one-sided relationship. Eberle depicts the emotional journey of unrequited love and the toll it takes on the one who longs for reciprocation through eerie melodies and soul-stirring lyrics. The narrator’s emotional conflicts are vividly depicted in the song as he battles with the quiet that results from a lack of compassion for one another.

When describing the song, Rob shared that his single “is perfect for playing during those sunny drives with the windows rolled down, particularly during the bridge section of the song. “Half of You” is also the kind of song you find yourself playing alone in your room at night right after experiencing a devastating breakup, yearning for the person you’ve lost”. The single’s bleak tune and thoughtful words create a dramatic atmosphere that encompasses you in the profound feelings it communicates.

With every note of “half of you,” the song asks listeners to connect with the complex feelings of heartbreak and desire, as well as the unwavering optimism that love will eventually find its way back. The single is a captivating exploration of the common issue of unrequited love thanks to its lyrics and singing.

Fans can stream “Half of You” on all streaming platforms, and to learn more about Rob Eberle fans can visit here.

  • Bad Tuner Releases New House Single “repeat to fade”

Brooklyn-based DJ Bad Tuner has shared a new rhythmic single “repeat to fade” ahead of his EP Look At Me But Through Me, set to release on April 5.

With the single release and an EP announcement, Bad Tuner has also shared that he will perform a string of live shows this spring with a live show at the Elsewhere Hall in NYC on April 19. This will be Tuner’s return to the Brooklyn’s Elsewhere rooftop as he sold out the venue in May of last year.

His new single “repeat to fade” is also accompanied with a music video directed by a Baltimore-based cinematographer Patrick Elmore. Tuner’s”repeat to fade” is an anthemic house song, with immense bass and a brutally rhythmic percussion presence that moves in sync with the seductive vocals screamed back by high-pitched harmonies. The house single is a vibrant party song ideal for those who dare to be courageous on the dance floor, with vocals that have an alien air to them, while the percussion acts as an anchor to Earth.

Tuner shows an innate sense of depth and a distinctive style all his own in his new EP Look At Me But Through Me. The six-track EP incorporates unique twists on modern conceptions of UK garage, the sleek and deceptively syncopated productions of the lo-fi house scene, and glitchy hyperpop flourishes. Each of the six tracks embrace entirely eclectic soundscapes, becoming a portal into their individual, wondrous worlds. Look At Me But Through Me EP is set to release on April 5 via Foreign Family Collective / Ninja Tune.
