Since then, they have played all across Europe and the UK, finally making their way back overseas this month, hot off the release of their self-released (on Human Season Records) second album, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/themurdercapital.lnk.to\/gigisrecovery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gigi\u2019s Recovery<\/a><\/em>, this past January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-style-default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2023-03-28-21.39.53-2-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2023-03-28-21.39.53-2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-454525\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Murder Capital, 2023 Photo by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/parkeralexanderphotos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parker Alexander<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Much like the album, the show brought a fully realized, introspective post-punk set with dynamic energy that elevated the record for the 650-capacity venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show started with <em>For Everything<\/em>, the brooding opener off their debut album, <em>When I Have Fears<\/em>, which released in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2023-03-28-21.36.41_1-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2023-03-28-21.36.41_1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-454526\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Murder Capital, 2023 Photo by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/parkeralexanderphotos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parker Alexander<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They continued on at a monstrous pace, invoking a few raucous mosh pits, making it to a newer track, <em>Return My Head<\/em> and onto <em>More Is Less<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were moments of <a href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/site\/2021\/03\/03\/consider-the-source-release-radiohead-cover\/\">Radiohead<\/a> imbued with Bauhaus, sharing a great polyphonic relationship between both guitars and bass, with the drums driving the rhythm amidst every harsh snare hit, most notably in the 2-part song, <em>Slowdance I+II<\/em>.
