The group will be joined by musicians Dev Hynes and Adam Tendler. These dates come alongside Wild Up\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildup.org\/project\/julius-eastman-anthology\/\">Endless Season<\/a>, their first-ever season in Los Angeles, their hometown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-8.png\" alt=\"Wild Up New York Julius Eastman\" class=\"wp-image-451850\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Adam Tendler and Dev Hayes. Credit: Glen Hahn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wild Up is a large ensemble committed to creating visceral, thought-provoking music. They strongly believe in the power of music to unite society over shared experiences, and that Eastman 92NY<a href=\"https:\/\/www.92ny.org\/event\/wild-up-plays-julius-eastman\"> <\/a>venue is the perfect place for that. The group is currently working on the third volume of their seven part anthology concert series honoring the late Julius Eastman. The first two volumes of the anthalogy series were met with critical acclaim, with <em>Volume One: Femenine<\/em> being called &#8220;a masterpiece&#8221; by the New York Times, and NPR and The Wall Street Journal calling <em>Volume Two: Joy Boy<\/em>, &#8220;Glorious.&#8221; \u201cStay On It\u201d from <em>Joy Boy <\/em>was nominated for a 2023 Grammy for Best Orchestral Performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of last year, Elizabeth Cine was hired as the new Executive Director of Wild Up. Significantly, Cine got the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildup.org\/project\/julius-eastman-anthology\/\">ensemble<\/a> their first gig, a paid residency at the Hammer Museum. She has a long history with Wild Up, having collaborated with Christopher Rountree, the group&#8217;s artistic director. Outside of Wild Up, Cine has worked for a number of music organizations in Los Angeles.
