    Touring After A Winning Year

Her newest single “Too Far To Be Gone” features guest appearances by her friends Sonny Landreth, Cedric Burnside, Kenny Brown, Oliver Wood, Charles Hodges and Aaron Lee Tasjan.

She was also recently nominated for four Blues Music Awards for Album Of The Year and Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year (for Done Gone Too Far),  Song Of The Year (for “Too Far To Be Gone”) and Instrumentalist Of The Year (Vocals). Copeland was also the 2021 Blues Music Award for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year.

    Two Decades Of Talent

Shemekia Copeland is is considered the blues/soul voice of her generation. As a contemporary Black woman, she brings her immense talent and charisma to topical new originals that reflect her deep social conscience. She delivers her hard-hitting musical truths through her eyes, those of a young American Black woman, a mother, and a wife. But she likes to have fun too, and her music reflects that.

“This album was made by all sides of me — happy, sad, silly, irate — they’re all a part who I am and who we all are. I’m not political. I’m just talking about what’s happening in this country” Says Copeland.

She has appeared in films, on national television, NPR, and in magazines and newspapers. She’s sung with Bonnie Raitt, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana, and many others. Copeland has also shared a bill with The Rolling Stones. In 2012, she performed with B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Buddy Guy, and others at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama. She has appeared on PBS’s Austin City Limits and was the subject of a six-minute feature on the PBS News Hour.

NPR’s Jazz Night In America recently aired an hour-long program featuring Copeland. In April 2022, she performed at the United Nations General Assembly Hall for International Jazz Day celebrations. Copeland continues to host her own popular daily blues radio show on SiriusXM’s Bluesville

  • New York Heavy Metal Band Prong releases single, tours Europe

While you wouldn’t know from their cutting lyrics and grating sound, Prong stands out from most heavy metal bands in that they lead with a down-to-earth attitude and prioritze forming relationships with their fans. The themes in the New York born and bred band’s newest single are angry and loud, but eloquent at the same time. “Breaking Point” marks the band’s return to the scene as they set off on a European tour this month.

    Prong Europe

Prong was formed in 1986 by singer and guitarist Tommy Victor, who still is lead singer today, the only member from the original line-up still active. He is joined by bassist John Christopher of the Corey Taylor Band and drummer Aaron Rossi of Ministry. The three come together harmoniously, equal parts energy and technicality.

Tommy Victor said his single, “Breaking Point,” came about in the final stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, when there was a growing sense of exhaustion and frustration so palpable that Prong was almost overwhelmed during their last tour. The lyrics and Victor’s vocal tone are reminiscent of Fugazi’s “Break,” where Ian Mackaye sings, “Can’t ask for more so why unfulfilled / We take apart everything we build.” These themes have endured, making their way into Prong’s contemporary work; in “Breaking Point” Victor sings: “The denial / it’s the breaking point / It’s going to end / it’s going to stop / so many people have had enough.”

Joining Prong on tour is Life of Agony and Tarah Who?. Though the tour is in Europe, with this new single Victor is bringing New York with him. I think moving back to New York has helped with these. I’m really happy where I’m at all around. I think it’s coming across in the new songs and showing a rejuvenated attitude,” Victor said on “Breaking Point.” Tour dates are listed below; tickets can be purchased here

  • Tragedy Announce New Album “I Am Woman,” Tour with Steel Panther and Crobot

Tragedy, one of New York’s most elite tribute bands and creators of disco metal, have announced the release of their newest album, I Am Woman, available on March 3. The album serves as a testimonial to celebrate womanhood in all forms, capturing the spirit of metal classics while providing a fresh take on some of the world’s most timeless classics of empowerment, independence and self-love.

Tragedy will be teaming up with Steel Panther and Crobot on their upcoming US tour. The tour will start in Las Vegas, beginning February 24. Then, starting April 18th, the band will continue on to their co-headline European tour alongside fellow comedy metal icons Nanowar of Steel.

If you’ve heard The Pointer Sisters’, “I’m So Excited”, you are in for a special treat. Tragedy will be showcasing their metal take on this classic anthem. Follow the band’s journey starting from their Cara Maria O’Shea-directed music video to their Halftime Show performance at the Big Bank SuperDuper Dome. You’ll find it impossible to contain yourself as you rock out to the metallized version of this iconic track with half-timed grooves, squealing solos and energetic vocals.

Anita Pointer sadly passed away very recently, and this is our tribute to her and her sisters’ impact on music, as well as, of course, their everlasting and unbridled enthusiasm for ‘pleasures in the night’ on this track. The song is about the building, burning anticipation of impending carnal satisfaction. The heart races, hormones surge – gratification is imminent! In the video, the “excited” band members pack themselves into the family minivan, then play the Halftime Show at the Big Bank SuperDuper Dome – an event viewed live by over 700 Billion people worldwide!

Mo’Royce Peterson on “I’m So Excited”

Tragedy has had a glitter-encrusted grip on the entertainment world since they emerged in the early 2010’s. Performing several albums of metalized disco, soft rock and pop covers in the USA, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, etc, has shown the world that Tragedy is no ordinary tribute band. The group of six fully embodies the soul of original pieces and infuses tracks with an undeniably infectious energy that can be felt by all listeners. Although the band’s unique style causes the implication of misbehavior, witnessing a live performance will open your eyes to the band’s true overarching message. It is one of carefree joy, humanity, acceptance and the simple pursuit of a damn good time. Their latest album, “I Am Woman”, can be preordered here.

  • Eric Church Adds SPAC Date to Outsiders Revival Tour

With more than 10 dates selling out during the first day of public on sales, Eric Church has responded to the overwhelming demand by adding eight new shows to his eagerly-anticipated The Outsiders Revival Tour spanning the U.S. and Canada this summer. He will make a stop in Saratoga Springs at SPAC in August with Lainey Wilson and The Red Clay Strays.

    eric church

Eric Church’s most recent critically acclaimed and chart-topping project, his Heart & Soul triple album, is the result of a marathon session during which he spent nearly a month writing and recording a song per day while sequestered in rural North Carolina. The album features his latest Gold-certified No. 1 “Hell of a View” and recent Top 5 hit “Heart On Fire” as well as his latest single, “Doing Life With Me.”

Joining “The Chief” across varying dates are Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, Lainey Wilson, Midland, Parker McCollum, Travis Tritt, Elle King and Paul Cauthen, plus Jackson Dean, Morgan Wade, Muscadine Bloodline, Shane Smith & The Saints, Hailey Whitters, Ray Wylie Hubbard and The Red Clay Strays.

Other newly added dates include Charleston, SC, Toronto, ON Rogers, AR, Orange Beach, AL, George, WA, Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC.

When I approach touring, I’m always inspired by a new experience, a new way to gather, to express ourselves sonically and visually. Whether it’s solo, in the round, double down; being able to bring a different perspective has always brought out our best creatively. Well, we have never done an outdoor summer tour. Never headlined amphitheaters. Never brought a summer experience to your town that featured artists we want to share the summer with. Until now. See you in the season of sunshine with some fellow outsiders that shine brightest when the sun goes down.

  • Beck and Phoenix Announce Co-Headlining Tour Coming to MSG on September 9th

Grammy award-winning artists Beck and Phoenix have announced a co-headline tour; Beck & Phoenix: Summer Odyssey. The tour will stop at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 9.

    Beck & Phoenix

Eight-time Grammy-winning artist Beck and French band Phoenix announced their upcoming co-headline tour. Beck is a 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee, and his single “Loser” in 1994 catapulted him into the rock scene. No record sounds quite like the rest as he changes up his sound frequently. However, The New York Times noted “Though Beck’s records through the years have tended toward maximalism, a kind of meticulous sonic gorgeousness, melody remains central to his art.”

Phoenix is a critically-acclaimed band from France and has been nominated twice for Grammy awards, winning “Best Alternative Album” in 2010 for their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. They also won “Best Rock Album” in 2014 for Bankrupt! at the French Victoires de La Musique. They have also headlined festivals including Coachella, Rock en Seine, and Governors Ball, and have sold out Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl.

The 19-city run tour will hit Madison Square Garden on Sept. 9, with special guest Weyes Blood. Tickets go on sale starting on Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. here.

  • Brooks & Dunn Bring ‘Reboot Tour’ to KeyBank Center in May

Brooks & Dunn, the best-selling duo of all time, have announced their 2023 return to arenas with the 2023 REBOOT Tour stopping at 17 cities, including Buffalo at KeyBank Center on Saturday, May 13. The duo will be joined by opener Scott McCreery.

    brooks and dunn reboot tour

With 20 Number 1 hits stretching back to 1991, as well as two GRAMMY awards, dozens of ACM and CMA honors and a discography counting more album sales than any duo in any genre in history, Brooks & Dunn’s influence on today’s country has never been in question.

Hits like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria” and “Believe” have propelled the duo to more than 30 million albums sold, with the New York Times heralding “together they helped drive the power-country era of the early-to-mid 1990s and continued to benefit from the sea change in the genre they helped initiate right through their most recent albums.” Their original “Merle Haggard meets The Rolling Stones” vibe made them progressive stars in their own right. The duo’s recently released collaboration project REBOOT debuted at No. One on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. The impressive feat marks the first time the duo has topped the album charts since 2009 while simultaneously earning the duo their 10th Billboard 200 Top 10 album, the most of any country duo or group in the chart’s history.

In 2019 the duo was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the “Modern Era Artist” category. In 2021 Brooks & Dunn undertook their first nationwide tour in ten years with their anticipated The REBOOT 2021 TOUR, as well as wrapped their hugely successful and the longest-running country residency in Las Vegas, “REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together in Vegas.”

“Last year, you all reminded us just how much fun it is to walk out on that stage and share the night with ya! We love what we do, but we’re just surfing your wave …can’t wait!!” said Kix Brooks. “The Brooks and Dunn posse rides again,” said Ronnie Dunn. “More excited to hit the big stage as we ever have been! Unbelievable band of friends.…annnnnd YOU! Together, let’s rock the house!!”

After achieving five consecutive No. 1 hits during the last few years, Scotty McCreery is currently rising up the country charts with his single “It Matters to Her,” which he wrote with Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller. The song can be found on his current project Same Truck: The Deluxe Album, which also features his three week No.1 hit “Damn Strait” as well as his No.1 hit “You Time” (both RIAA Gold-certified).

Opener Scott McCreery says “Having been a huge fan of their music all my life, going out on the road with Kix and Ronnie is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait for this tour to begin!”

Tickets On Sale Friday, January 27 at 10 a.m. For more information, visit www.brooks-dunn.com.
