The band told the crowd about their first gig where \u201cthe power went out,\u201d but tonight the electricity was synchronicity in Syracuse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Umphrey\u2019s McGee 1\/21\/22 Landmark Theatre, Syracuse, NY\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GXfMG4arg9c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They came full circle and treated their fans from their Midwest home in Chicago to the frigid Syracuse Landmark, playing their first album <em>Local Band Does OK<\/em>, in its entirety, and notably included a nod to the start of their tour with &#8220;The Empire State.&#8221; The excitement shared during soundcheck brought this night to life, as the Landmark was filled with ambient tones and occasional <a href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/site\/2020\/10\/07\/eddie-van-halen-1955-2020\/\">Eddie Van Halen<\/a> riffs from Jake Cinninger, who also played a Duane Allman-esque slide guitar during \u201cPartyin\u2019 Peeps\u201d before heading to the encore of \u201cSlacker.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Umphrey\u2019s McGee 1\/21\/22 Slacker Landmark Theatre, Syracuse, NY\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nl5D5oWMc2c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actor Vince Vaughn once celebrated John Lennon\u2019s birthday at the Hotel Syracuse,&nbsp; just around the corner from the Landmark, where Lennon held his 31st birthday with guests including Ringo Starr. Whether Umphrey\u2019s knew this fact or not, they version of \u201cRingo\u201d&nbsp; evoked a younger image of Vaughn in his <em>Rudy<\/em> character, with a full set of pads and gold helmet in the crowd at the Landmark, whose gold walls resonated the vibe as well.
