  • Gooseberry Drops Titular Song In Anticipation Of Debut EP “Broken Dance”

    In anticipation of their debut EP, Broken Dance, set to release on May 6th, Gooseberry has dropped the titular track of their forthcoming project. The Brooklyn band, consisting of Asa Daniels, Evin Rossington, Sam Rappaport, and Will Hammond, is slowly building an underground following.

    Recently, the band placed in the Final Four in NYSMusic’s March Madness 2022 bracket, and their newest release continues to highlight their talent.

    Gooseberry’s music is a magnificent blend of soulful R&B and indie-pop. Their newest release continues to showcase this amalgamation. The titularly titled track, “Broken Dance,” features a happy yet inquisitive piano roll. Accompanied by a melancholic violin and intimate lyricism, the track wonderfully captures the antonymic feelings of intimacy and loss.

    The four-piece talent will also be touring the American Northeast. In New York, they will return to the Bowery Electric on April 14th and to Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory on May 21st. Additionally, the band will also pass through the Finger Lakes region and will play at Grist Iron Brewing on June 11th.

  • In Focus: Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators rock a sold out del Lago Casino

    On March 5th, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators brought what can only be described as a ‘pure rock’ show to a packed crowd at del Lago Casino in Waterloo, NY.

    Starting off the night was a fairly new band Plush. This band includes Moriah Formica lead vocals and guitar, Bella Perron on the lead guitar, Ashley Suppa on the bass and Brooke Colucci on the drums. They are absolutely the future of rock. With Formica’s powerful voice and the instrumental skill of the other three members, the world needs to keep their eyes on them.

    Then of course following them was the head liners. Wearing his iconic top hat and aviators, the world famous guitarist and the incomparable vocalist played for 3 hours non-stop.

    Myles Kennedy is pure talent. Plain and simple. It was hard to believe that he was the one singing as he hit the notes effortlessly. He is the essence of rock and still remains truly humble. Of course, we cannot skip the is an undeniable rock superstar, Slash. With years under his belt, he is a guitarist with unparalleled talent. These two masterminds of music combined with the talent of The Conspirators, consisting of consist of Todd Kerns on the lead bass, Frank Sidoris on the rhythm guitar and Brent Fitz on the drums, are unstoppable. It was an unforgettable experience of music full of energy and just pure fun.

  • St. Paul And The Broken Bones to Play CMAC with Fitz and the Tantrums

    St Paul and the Broken Bones will be co-headlining a US tour with Fitz and the Tantrums, and are playing CMAC on June 14. They will only be playing one NY date this tour.

    The octet group from Birmingham, Alabama will be releasing a new album The Alien Coast on January 28. The group will make TV performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on the 27 and on CBS Saturday Morning the 29. Their last CBS performance granted them a Daytime Emmy nomination.

    The band performs on CBS Morning in 2014.

    St. Paul And The Broken Bones released several singles for the album including “Love Letter from a Red Roof Inn,” “Minotaur,” and “The Last Dance.” These singles show the versatility of the band as they are constantly changing. The album showcases the band’s interpretation of the human psyche, combining psychedelia, stoner metal, and funk.

    The band is one of Elton John’s favorites and has been featured on his Rocket Hour radio show. The band also has earned three Billboard 200 debuts, had an NPR Tiny Desk performance with over seven million views, and many TV performances.
