The Peach Music Festival 2023 has announced the dates for the season, running from June 29 through July 2 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA.
The Peach Music Festival was created in 2012 as the first-ever Allman Brothers Band-inspired festival in the Northeast and has quickly evolved into one of the most highly-anticipated summer musical events loved by music enthusiasts from across the nation. It is a one-of-a-kind festival, as it features food and craft vendors on the grounds and access to the scenic Montage Mountain Ski Resort’s large water park.
Last year’s lineup included Billy Strings, Trey Anastasio Band, Goose, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and many more. The lineup has not been announced yet, but the Peach Music Festival 2023 weekend will run from June 29 to July 2. A limited number of Early Bird passes will go on sale beginning on Friday, Dec. 9 at 12 p.m. including VIP passes, reserved seating, glamping, travel packages, as well as a special four-day, general admission $99 lawn ticket.
New this year will be a GA+ ticket allowing fans with a General Admission ticket access under the pavilion for headliner sets (in the 200-level seating area) for $149. To purchase tickets for the 2023 festival, go here.
Country star Morgan Wallen announces One Night at a Time 2023 World Tour along with the release of three singles, “One Thing At A Time,” “Tennessee Fan,” and “Days That End In Why.”

Wallen wrote in an Instagram statement that “2023 is gonna be a special year… I got a lot in store for y’all and thought we’d start with this,” alluding to the tour drop. This tour comes off the heels of his wildly successful 55-city Dangerous Tour, that wrapped up on Oct. 8.
Morgan Wallen has over 12.3 billion on-demand streams, multi-platinum certifications and seven chart-toppers at Country radio. His critically-acclaimed, 4x platinum ACM Album of the Year Dangerous: The Double Album topped 2021’s all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart with 4.1 million units sold earning him 2022 Billboard Awards Country Male Artist top honor.

Doctor Baker – “Holiday Lights”
Consisting of Ed Schwarzschild (guitar, vocals), Iggy Calabria (guitar, vocals), Chris Gockley (bass), and Danny Goodwin (drums, percussion), Doctor Baker originally started as an acoustic duo before expanding. The complete band brings a strong sound to audiences within the Capitol Region and beyond. Their single “Holiday Lights” off of their album Trespassers will be played on EQXposure.
The Rough Shapes – “Last Christmas” cover
The Rough Shapes are an instrumental trio based in the mid-Hudson Valley. Their sound is shaped by their shared hometown of Saugerties. The group’s sound is underground electric guitar music – the darker side of rockabilly, surf, spy, early rock and roll, and the cinematic mood music of Morricone.
Watch Reggie Run – “Unwrap them all”
Watch Reggie Run is a father-son duo founded in 2017 by Dave and Luke Graham. They started performing as a way to connect with one another, as Luke has autism and his communication skills are limited. Their holiday song “Unwrap them all” will be played on EQXposure.
Broadway’s beloved Phantom of the Opera is delaying its closing show date after seeing a spike in sales, seeing capacities jumping to over 100 percent. The final performance date will now be April 16, 2023.

The show is the longest-running show in Broadway history and will commemorate its 35 anniversary in January. Phantom has become a staple in Broadway history, however, due to the pandemic it has grossed a lot less money since the reopening of the theatre.
Producer Cameron Mackintosh said the show is delaying its closure due to a spike in sales sparked after the closing announcement. The Phantom of the Operahas grossed $1.78 million in the week ended Nov. 20, the most recent week of public grosses.
We are all thrilled that not only the show’s wonderful fans have been snapping up the remaining tickets, but also that a new, younger audience is equally eager to see this legendary production before it disappears. Such is the demand for tickets that we are delighted to announce that The Shubert Organization has been able to arrange a final eight-week extension of the run at The Majestic Theatre.

Phantom is a symbol of 1980s Broadway, created by three of the most legendary figures in musical theater history: composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, director Hal Prince and producer Cameron Mackintosh. The show is about a mask-wearing opera singer who frequents the Paris Opera House and falls for a young soprano, famous for the phantom’s mask as well as the chandelier that crashes on stage every night. On Broadway, the show has been seen by 19.8 million people and has grossed $1.3 billion since opening.
The Phantom of the Opera‘s new final performance date will be on April 16, 2023. There will still be production in London, as well as a brand new one in Australia. The first Mandarin language production is set to open in China next year, and a Spanish-language version is in the works. Tickets to see the final United States showings are on sale here.
The GRAMMYs announced their nominations for the Feb. 5 show. The nominations include talent from all over New York State, with familiar favorites and new artists.
The 2023 GRAMMY awards feature many nominations for Mary J. Blige, who grew up in Yonkers. She is nominated for Record of the Year, Album of The Year, and Best R&B Album for her record Good Morning Gorgeous. She was also nominated for Best R&B Performance for her song “Here With Me” featuring Anderson .Paak.
Post Malone saw a nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for his song “I Like You (A Happier Song)” featuring Doja Cat. He is from Syracuse, and is one of the most successful pop stars of the last decade with 66 entries in the Billboard Hot 100 — including 11 top 10 hits — and is a 9-time Grammy nominee.

Shemekia Copeland’s groundbreaking 2022 release, Done Come Too Far, received a nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Copeland has received four previous Grammy Award nominations and is from Harlem.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000, is nominated in two categories. Their record Cool It Down is nominated in the Best Alternative Music Album category, and Best Alternative Music Performance for “Spitting Off The Edge Of The World,” featuring Perfume Genius.
The Best Bluegrass Album category saw Andy Falco and The Infamous Stringdusters record Toward The Fray. Falco was born in Greenwich Village and grew up in Garden City, and now resides in Sayville.
Staten Island native Christina Aguilera is nominated for Best Latin Pop Album and Best Immersive Audio Album for her record AGUILERA. She has achieved five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the third female artist, and fourth overall, to top the chart over three consecutive decades.
Icon Norah Jones, who has sold more than 50 million records worldwide and has won several awards is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for I Dream Of Christmas (Extended). She has won multiple GRAMMYs as well.
Snarky Puppy, who say New York City made the band who they are today, are nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for their record Empire Central, which focuses on NYC and explains in depth how the city shaped the group.
The Best Jazz Vocal Album category saw The Manhattan Transfer. They are a Grammy award–winning vocal group founded in 1969. Their album Fifty features The WDR Funkhausorchester, German broadcast orchestra of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne.
The Best Rap Album features a lot of new and old, including Bronx born Pusha T, who has been nominated for multiple GRAMMY awards in the past. His record It’s Almost Dry is up for consideration for an award.
The Best Orchestral Performance category sees two Capital Region natives Jimmy Stagnitti and Ian Antonio performing in the orchestra for “The Breath Of The World.” It was conducted by Doug Perkins (Musicians Of The University Of Michigan Department Of Chamber Music & University Of Michigan Percussion Ensemble).
Finally, NYC-born Lin-Manuel Miranda is nominated in two categories, one for his songwriter skills and the other for his storytelling skills. His storytelling of Aristotle And Dante Dive Into The Waters Of The World is nominated for the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording. Actor Mel Brooks, from Brooklyn, also was nominated in that category for All About Me!: My Remarkable Life In Show Business. Manuel Miranda also wrote a song for the movie Encanto, called ”We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” which is also up for nomination.
The 65 annual GRAMMY awards will be airing on Feb. 5 starting at 7 p.m.
Vermont-based jam band Twiddle has announced an indefinite hiatus starting in 2024 after 18 years of touring together. Coming with the announcement is probably their final tour as a band, called the Distance Makes The Heart Tour.
Twiddle is comprised of members Mihali Savoulidis [vocals, guitar], Ryan Dempsey [keys, organ, synth], Brook Jordan [drums], and Zdenek Gubb [bass]. They recently celebrated the release of their fifth full-length album Every Last Leaf. Over the past almost two decades, the group has performed many at notable places and started traditions of their own, including Tumbledown and their annual Frendsgiving celebration. They have also played the newer Memorial Meltdown festival in Lake George as well.
Savoulidis spoke in a statement about the announcement, citing that change is important for creative growth and necessary for proper reflection.
We are so blessed to have been able to live out our dreams because of you and your support. Without all of you, none of this would have been possible. I wouldn’t trade a second of this experience for anything. So from the bottom of my heart and with all my love, thank you so much for everything. The Twiddle community really feels like a big family and the amount of kindness and love that you have shown us and each other over the years has been nothing but inspiring. I am so proud to have been a part of it.

Savoulidis went on to say that their new tour will be their last tour for a long time. More shows are to be announced soon, and they are excited to bring people together to celebrate the group’s music. He stressed it isn’t the end, but it is goodbye for now.

MASS MoCA announces new Winter/Spring 2023 programming, featuring exhibitions from Daniel Giordano and Carrie Schneider. The venue is located in North Adams, MA, only about 50 miles from the Capital District.
MASS MoCA is one of the world’s liveliest centers for making and enjoying today’s most evocative art. It is full of stunning galleries and a collection of indoor and outdoor performing arts venues. It embraces all forms of art: music, sculpture, dance, film, painting, photography, and theater.
The featured exhibits this winter include Daniel Giordano’s Love from Vicki Island, the viewing starting Feb. 4. He combines industrial artifacts, organic matter, ceramic elements, and cast aluminum to produce “portraits” of the artist and his family, as well as his hometown of Newburgh.
Another featured exhibit includes Carrie Schneider’s Sphinx. Her photographs play with the camera’s imaginative potential and its relationship to the subconscious. The exhibit focuses on the art she captured during the pandemic, like screen grabs of friends’ social media feeds, images from her private archive, and shots of historical artworks directly to photo paper.
Additional programming highlights include Florencia Cuenca & Jaime Lozano: Broadway en Spanglish on Feb. 4 where mariachi meets musical theater. On March 25 Old Man and the Sea will be performed, which is an operatic update of Hemingway’s classic tale fromPaola Prestini, Royce Vavrek, and Karmina Šilec, featuring Helga Davis.
Performances include Urban Bush Women: Haint Blu (April 19–22) and choreographer Thulani Chauke of William Kentridge Studios, and Armando Guadalupe Cortés with M. Elijah Sueuga and Juvenal Cortés, as well as community programs in January.

Alt-pop group Ripe announces the release of their sophomore album Bright Blues, and tour dates for the spring, including a stop at Terminal 5 in New York City on April 15.

Ripe first became a group at Berklee College of Music and immediately began drawing fans in with deep funk, soulful jazz, pop melodies, and well-done improvisations. Hailed by Boston’s WGBH as “teeming with a pop swagger, confidence, and total self-assuredness,” Ripe is comprised of singer Robbie Wulfsohn, guitarist Jon Becker, drummer Sampson Hellerman, and trombonist Calvin Barthel.
The group’s new record pushes them in a different direction, as the pandemic and everything around them was crumbling down. They enlisted rising pop producer/songwriters – and Berklee classmates – Noah Conrad (BTS, Niall Horan) and Ryan Linvill (Olivia Rodrigo, Dermot Kennedy), who helped infuse songs like “All or Nothing” and the hypnotic “Paper Cups” into new depths of creativity.
Ripe will be releasing their new album Bright Blues on March 10. They will be embarking on a spring tour, stopping at Terminal 5 in New York City on April 15. Tickets for the tour are on sale here.
Folk singer Judy Collins has received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album for her record Spellbound, which is a remarkable album for Collins as it is her first album with all original songs.

Judy Collins began her musical career in the 60s playing folk music in Colorado and Connecticut. She made her break in Greenwich Village and released her first album A Maid of Constant Sorrow in 1961. Over her life, she has played with icons like Stephen Stills, Randy Newman, and Joni Mitchell.
Her record Spellbound explores her experiences with substance abuse, the Greenwich Village scene in the early ’60s, her love for nature, and the vast open spaces of Colorado, where she was born and raised. This record was the 29 album she released in her career.
The Grammy nomination for Judy Collins is the first one she has had in six years and her seventh nomination overall. She previously won Best Folk Performance in 1969 for her recording of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.”
Judy Collins has been averaging nearly 100 shows every year and has announced a new tour. Six of these concerts are dedicated to Wildflowers, her 1967 album. She’ll be performing the album front to back, with a full orchestra. Some of the tour will be stopping in Port Washington, Tarrytown, North Tonawanda, and New York City. The Caroga Arts Collective announced the events for the fourth annual WinterFest, including music from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, Handel’s Messiah, and favorite Christmas singalongs. These events will be happening from Dec. 14-17.
The Caroga Arts Collective presents over 50 performances and community events in the Southern Adirondacks throughout the year, featuring world-class musicians from across the country and from various styles of arts and entertainment.
Before kicking off the WinterFest, there will be the fifth annual tree lighting ceremony at Sherman’s Park on Nov. 26, and the Caroga Arts Collective is asking for volunteers to help light up the park. On Dec. 14, the popular “SAUNDERSFEST Christmas” hosted by Canada Lake-based brothers Geoff and Rich Saunders will be happening at The Nick Stoner Inn & 19th Hole at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
On Dec. 15 and 16, the Caroga Arts Ensemble will perform the Tchaikovsky Holiday Spectacular at Paul Nigra Center. They will perform selections from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite and other beloved works. Tickets are on sale now for both events.
The last day of WinterFest brings the free Hallelujah, it’s Handel! event. The Caroga Arts Ensemble will perform music by Handel, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and more at St. John’s Episcopal Church. There will also be selections from Handel’s Messiah and Christmas sing-a-longs.
The Caroga Arts Collective’s fourth annual WinterFest will take place from Dec. 14-17 at various locations in the Adirondacks, showcasing the talent of the area in different musical forms.
