For the first time in 16 years, guitarist Leo Kottke and bassist Mike Gordon will tour together, in an eagerly awaited series of dates in December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acoustic guitar legend Leo Kottke and Phish <\/a>bassist Mike Gordon<\/a> first linked up in 2002 for Clone<\/em>, and followed by 2005’s Sixty Six Steps.<\/em> The upcoming tour will celebrate last year\u2019s release of the first new Kottke\/Gordon album in 15 years, Noon<\/a><\/em>, hailed by Rolling Stone as \u201cfull of lilting grooves that go on wild musical tangents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair also today premiered a 4-song mini set, including performances of the Kottke song \u201cSheets\u201d and \u201cHow Many People Are You,\u201d which has found a spot in the rotation both with Phish and Mike Gordon Band. Both tracks are found on Noon<\/em>, with Phish drummer Jon Fishman appearing on “How Many People Are You.” The set is rounded out with the Kottke classic \u201cRings,\u201d and \u201cDisco\u201d from the duo\u2019s 2002 release, Clone.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
