Presale begin Wednesday, July 14 at noon ET. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 16 starting at 10am ET. For complete details, please visit trey.com/tour.
Douglas’s addition to TAB is huge news for fans and for Anastasio himself, who released an official statement outlining his excitement.
I’m thrilled to welcome the incredible Dezron Douglas to TAB. A longtime friend and collaborator of virtually every member of the band, Dezron is a master of reggae, funk and jazz bass. Russ, Ray, Dezron and I had some deep jams in the city recently, and Dezron’s playing is pure flow, heart, spirit and soul. We all can’t wait to get out on the road together. Thank you Dezron, Welcome to the Band! See you all soon!

Last year saw Trey Anastasio Band release a new live album, BurnItDown, a three-dimensional sonic time capsule that captures the eight-piece band on their January 2020 tour. Produced and mixed by Vance Powell (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White), the 15-song collection shows TAB at the peak of its powers, combining their trademark tight musicianship with unbounded performances. Burn It Down is digitally streaming now and the vinyl will be available on August 20 (now available for preorder).

Welcome Back, a brand new EP from Grammy award-winning duo Brasstracks is out now. The new EP marks a creative rebirth for Brasstracks, who are starting anew as they release their forthcoming EP independently.
Brooklyn-based Brasstracks was co-founded by Ivan Jackson and Conor Rayne while studying jazz at New York’s Manhattan School of Music. Since forming in 2014, the duo has become one of music’s most in-demand horn/percussion duos, collaborating with the likes of Harry Styles, Anderson .Paak, Khalid, Mark Ronson, and Wyclef Jean. In 2016, Brasstracks produced Chance The Rapper’s hit single “No Problem,” which subsequently led to Grammy Wins for “Best Rap Performance” as well as “Best Rap Album” due to their contributions to Coloring Book.
In conjunction with the recent release, Brasstracks confirms an extensive run of headline fall tour dates with emerging artist TOBi. The run of North American performances kicks off in Chicago on September 30 and includes shows at New York’s Irving Plaza, Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre, Boston’s Paradise Rock Club, San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, Denver’s Ogden Theatre, DC’s Union Stage and more. See below for the full tour routing.
“In the past couple months, we went through a big shift. We got vaccinated. We announced our first live in person show since November 2019. And we became independent artists again. To celebrate all of these things, we wanted to put out some music that hits home and makes you feel good. Some of the stuff that our audience has grown to know us for, with a little twist… These songs are just the start and featured vocalists Cait [Harris] and Cookie are superstars that we’re so excited to introduce to you. We have a lot of music to get off our hard drives this year. We’ve been quiet enough, so it’s time to make some noise. You can call this our entrance music.”
Brasstracks co-founder Ivan Jackson
Brasstracks has once again made their mark in music with “Welcome Back” and they are promising fans more independent projects soon. Both nostalgic and exhilarating, this latest EP presents feel-good tracks alongside talented emerging vocalists. Be sure to listen to and share the EP HERE and watch and share an accompanying video below:

New York avant-garde metal outfit Imperial Triumphant has just announced their Fall 2021 U.S. headline tour. The band will be joined by Pyrrhon starting October 15th in Boston and wrapping up on October 31st in Brooklyn. Imperial Triumphant will be touring in support of their most recent full-length album Alphaville, which came out Summer of 2020.
The album was produced and engineered at New York’s Menegroth Studio by Colin Marston and Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle). The album also features a number of special guests such as Tomas Haake (Meshuggah) on taiko drums, Phlegeton (Wormed) on guest vocals, Yoshiko Ohara (ex-Bloody Panda) as part of the choirs, RK Halvorson as part of the Barbershop quartet, Sarai Chrzanowski as part of the choirs, Andromeda Anarchia (Folterkammer, Dark Matters) as part of the choirs, J Walter Hawkes on the trombone, and Colin Marston on guitars.
Imperial Triumphant officially began in 2012 with their debut release Abominamentvm. The line-up consisted of Zachary Ilya Ezrin on guitar/vocals and the rhythm section of their NYC contemporaries: Pyrrhon. Soon they met with drummer Kenny Grohowski and began to feature him on their next two releases Goliath (EP) and Abyssal Gods (LP). In 2015, they introduced bassist Steven Blanco to their lineup. In 2016, they released another EP Inceste, which saw them tour heavily that year with temporary second guitarist Max Gorelick. 2018 brought about their magnum statement, Vile Luxury. The full-length album, written collectively by the trio (Ezrin, Grohowski, Blanco), was a homage to their hometown New York City that brought jazz elements to the avant-garde black metal style in a way never achieved before. Imperial Triumphant is looking forward to performing their newest full-length album, Alphaville, which catapulted them to national recognition.

Synthwave band Doom Flamingo has released their newest EP album, Flamingo, on June 30. The band has also announced a slew of tour dates for this summer, including a stop at the Capitol Theater.
Based in South Carolina, Doom Flamingo is a self-described “synthwave beast with a Jekyll and Hyde element to their songwriting.” Similar to the contrasting words in their name, Doom Flamingo creates a musical breed of both heavy electronica and dance-floor-ready pop.
The group features bassist Ryan Stasik, of the jam band Umphrey’s McGee, alongside a cast of musicians including dynamic vocalist Kanika Moore, guitarist Thomas Kenney, drummer Stu White, saxophonist Mike Quinn, and keyboardist Ross Bogan.
Flamingo serves as an upbeat alter ego to their 2020 DoomEP, a darker inspired collection. Full of ’80s-style keyboard beats, positive lyrics and an infectious groove, the new EP has a nostalgic summer beach-trip vibe.
This project makes me want to lace up a pair of roller skates and head on down to the boardwalk.
Ryan Stasik (bassist of Umphrey’s McGee and Doom Flamingo)
Despite this fun-loving and beachy attitude, the group stays vigilant in their belief in justice and equity. Songs like “Untraditional” and “Somebody” help spread the message that people deserve to live confidently in their truth, even if they’re outside expected societal values.
Doom Flamingo takes inspiration from a wide array of artists, from electronica pioneers Daft Punk to pop-icon Tina Turner(listen to their rendition of Turner’s “The Best”). Interestingly enough, one of the chief inspirations for Flamingo is former First Lady Michelle Obama. The band even wrote track 4, “Michelle,” in her honor.
‘Michelle’ is a song dedicated to the women that exhibit love, intelligence, and charisma because it feels good to deposit positive energy and be fed with the same. I’m inspired by Michelle Obama.
Kanika Moore (lead singer of Doom Flamingo)
Doom Flamingo in North Charleston, 2020
Flamingo can be streamed on all major platforms starting June 30. The band will also be bringing their new EP to a handful of select cities in the coming months, as part of their 2021 Summer Tour. For ticket information, check out their website.

Psychedelic-rock legend Jorma Kaukonen is heading out on a carefully planned Northeastern road tour in an RV he calls the “Ultimate Mechanical Toy.”
Jorma will embark on a solo tour in July celebrating the vinyl release of John Hurlbut and Jorma Kaukonen: The River Flows Volume Two, with John Hurlbut joining Jorma for a special set highlighting The River Flows.
Recorded last summer along with Volume One, this album continues along the same path. “Guitar maestro Kaukonen shares top billing with singer/guitarist John Hurlbut in a downhome session of remarkable six-string storytelling” said Sterophile and No Depression revealed “Kaukonen and Hurlbut view music as a conversation … What we hear in this acoustic marvel is an intimate tête-à-tête celebrating 40 years of friendship.” The album releases on Record Store Day, July 17, 2021.
June 13 The Mill Event Center, Lancaster, OH July 15 Jewish Community Center, Rochester, NY July 17 The Cabot, Beverly, MA July 18 Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield, CT July 23 & 24 Concerts On The Green @Suneagles, Eatontown, NJ July 25 City Winery Hudson Valley, Montgomery, NY
In May, Kaukonen and sound technician, Myron Hart, will headed out for three dates in the Northeast. An RV, which he calls the “Ultimate Mechanical Toy,” looks more like one of Willie’s buses than anything, provides a safety factor for the tour.
In a career that has already spanned a half-century, guitarist and vocalist, Jorma Kaukonen has been one of the most highly respected interpreters of American roots music, blues, and americana, and at the forefront of popular rock-and-roll.
Kaukonen is a founding member of two legendary rock bands, Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane, as well as a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a Grammy recipient.
Jorma Kaukonen’s repertoire goes far beyond his involvement in creating psychedelic rock; he is a legend and one of the finest singer-songwriters and master instrumentalists in music today. Jorma tours the world bringing his unique styling to old blues and writing new songs with insight and imagination.
All of the venues on the tour are making amazing efforts to be safe and comfortable places while also adhering to social distancing guidelines. Each show will have limited seating, extra cleaning, and require attendees to wear masks and stay at their tables once they’re seated. Most of the shows will be held outdoors.
Come out and enjoy the delight of spontaneous melodies and insightful songs peppered with Jorma’s wry sense of humour. When asked if he would hire a driver for the RV, Jorma said, “Absolutely not! This is the ultimate mechanical toy!”
May 04 Vinoski Winery, Belle Vernon, PA May 06 Homer Center for the Arts Drive-in series, Homer, NY May 09 Tupelo Music Hall, Derry, NH Two shows: 1PM & 4PM

He has a distinguished guitar style and an admirable stage presence that makes audience members craving an encore.
