Ben Proctor of\u00a0 <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/thecrookednorth.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Crooked North<\/a> is set to provide a solo act to open the s<a href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/site\/2013\/12\/27\/hearing-aide-the-moho-collectives-anicca\/\">how. The Moho Collective<\/a> will then be joined by a seven-piece ensemble that will include members from The Mighty High and Dry, <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esm.rochester.edu\/ensembles\/eje\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Eastman Jazz Ensemble<\/a> and <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/thesaplingsmusic.bandcamp.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Saplings<\/a>, as attendees will enjoy hearing <em>Akra<\/em> performed in its entirety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lovincup.com\" target=\"_blank\">Lovin&#8217; Cup<\/a> is a venue located in Rochester, NY and has hosted the band&#8217;s release parties since their first in 2010. This includes the EP <em>Soma<\/em> that was released just last year. Though The Moho Collective previously spent much of their early career touring the North-East, they decided to go in a different direction and take time off to record tracks with the Temperamental Recordings label out of Geneseo, NY. <em>Soma<\/em> and <em>Akra<\/em> are both the result of this studio time, with more releases to come in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: The Moho Collective\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/artist\/6mvGSbW0Th18jMBQPQkQLQ?utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even with the trio deviating from their usual form of practicing new music live until it is perfect, staying true to form <em>Akra<\/em> is anything but stagnant. The crowd at Lovin&#8217; Cup can expect more musical experimentation and the trio&#8217;s first ever vocal performance. Not only is <em>Akra<\/em> just as unique as the rest of their recordings but listeners will also hear guest performances from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vaporsofmorphine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dana Colley of Morphine<\/a> and Mike Brown, owner of <a href=\"https:\/\/temperamentalrecordings.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Temperamental Recordings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Doors open at 7 PM with the show starting at 8 PM.
