Mountain Jam has announced the festival will return to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in 2020. Dates for the festival are May 29-31, 2020 with lineup and more information coming in the new year.

The Big Takeover Announces New Single, Tour Dates

New York seven-piece band, The Big Takeover, perfectly fuses big band Motown with Jamaican pop roots, making it nearly impossible not to dance along. In their new single “Shy.” they offer an upbeat, retro tune that stays with you, keeping you bopping around all day. This is the first single released from the band’s upcoming fourth album, and it’s filled with powerful horns, a foot-stomping beat, and soulful vocals.
Despite its cheery, optimistic sound, the single has a rather somber story. Powerhouse singer/songwriter, Nee Nee Rushie, tells us about a love triangle, and everyone involved is too shy to communicate with each other and see their own truth. “I was trying to tell a very specific story, because I’ve written many stories that are left up to interpretation,” she elaborates, “feeling shy is an inexplicable and intriguing human behavior that most humans should be able to relate to.” “Shy” has an incredibly rich, boppy, and sweet sound that flows through you in a way that you can’t help but dance across the room. In 2018 they completed a 12-state tour and performed at Omaha’s Jazz on the Green festival.

Mountain Jam Artist Announcement: Phil Lesh & Friends Join 2019 Lineup
Mountain Jam has added more artists to the already impressive 2019 lineup. Phil Lesh & Friends join as headliners the for event alongside the previously announced Willie Nelson & Family, Gov’t Mule and The Avett Brothers. Other artist additions include Jorgen Carlsson (of Gov’t Mule)’s side project Little Days, Los Coast, Laura Stevenson, The Rock Academy, and Ratboy Jr.
Now in its 15th year, Mountain Jam will be taking place at Bethel Woods Center for The Arts, home of the original 1969 Woodstock Festival. Bethel Woods is one of New York State’s most pristine amphitheaters located in a picturesque setting in the Catskill Mountains. The event will feature on-site camping and offer car camping as well. There will be 3 stages: a covered amphitheater, a 2nd stage on the lawn area & a terrace stage in a Greek- style amphitheater. The festival will also offer on-site activities including walking tours of the 1969 Woodstock site each morning, daily yoga, free entry to the The Museum at Bethel Woods and more. The VIP Program has been enhanced for 2019 with the addition of CID Entertainment. Learn more about VIP offerings here. There are new hotels in the area, Resorts World Catskill and The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark are two of the new accommodations. There will be shuttle buses running from both.

Mountain Jam Announces Lineup and Venue Change
After 14 years at Hunter Mountain, Mountain Jam announced its lineup Thursday and that it will be relocating to the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, site of the original Woodstock festival. Mountain Jam will be held June 13-16.
More than 40 artists were announced as the festival looks to get back to its roots of being more jam-friendly. Headliners for the 15th edition of Mountain Jam include Gov’t Mule, Willie Nelson and Family, and the Avett Brothers. An additional headliner will be announced later in the spring.
The fest will have a decidedly New York flair with the inclusion of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Amy Helm, Marco Benevento, Consider the Source, Wild Adriatic, and the Big Takeover.
Early Bird tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 8 at 10:00 a.m. and are available through Monday, Feb. 11 at 11:59 p.m. for $159 through the Mountain Jam website.
