  • All Time Low to Join Blink-182 ‘Enema of the State’ Tour

    All Time Low announced in a tweet last week that they will be joining Blink-182 for the rescheduled Columbus, OH show of their ‘Enema of the State’ tour on September 22. Blink-182 and Lil Wayne have been on tour together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Blink’s beloved Enema of the State album. It was supposed to kick off last month in Columbus, but it had to be delayed due to production issues. For pop-punk fans, it looks like it was worth the wait.

    Back in January, Blink-182 vocalist/ bassist Mark Hoppus and All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth joined forces to debut their new project, Simple Creatures. The duo released their first EP ‘Strange Love’ back in March, listen to it on Spotify here.

    According to Lil Wayne’s website, he will not be on the tour for Columbus date in September, so fans will get a full night of pop-punk with All Time Low, Neck Deep, and Blink-182. Tickets for the remaining shows, (listed below) including the All Time Low date, are on sale now.

  • Pink Talking Fish Announces 2019 Fall Tour

    Pink Talking Fish just announced their 2019 fall tour which includes festivals, headlining at premier venues, multiple night runs, and a variety of concept shows including the debut of a PTF Kids show. Pink Talking Fish perfectly fuses the sounds of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish, creating a fresh and exciting experience for fans. The band features Eric Gould on bass, Richard James on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums and Cal Kehoe on guitar.

    Fall tour kicks off Labor Day Weekend on the beach at Ocean Mist in Rhode Island, before other stops like the Umphrey’s McGee after-party in Asbury Park, NJ and Lake George for the Adirondack Music Festival. The band will close out their festival season at the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in New Brunswick, Canada. Throughout October, Pink Talking Fish will stay on the East Coast with shows in Washington DC, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and a stop at Buffalo Iron Works in Buffalo, NY on October 24. The show in DC will be a special ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ concept where the band will perform the classic album intertwined with Talking Heads and Phish in between the album cuts. The Halloween show, held at The National in Richmond, VA, will create a ‘PTF is Bowie’ experience featuring a fusion of music from Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Phish, and David Bowie.

    November starts off with a three-night run at Sweetwater Music Hall in California, each day will feature a different theme. On Friday November 1, PTF will perform their ‘Animals’ concept, combining Talking Heads and Phish with Pink Floyd’s Animals album, and Saturday night will see a West Coast twist on the band’s ‘PTF is Bowie’ concept. Sunday afternoon, the band will be putting a very special ‘Pink Talking Fish (4 Kids)’ show that will be an interactive experience the whole family can enjoy. Throughout December, PTF will be making stops at Montage Music Hall in Rochester, NY and Beachland Ballroom & Tavern in Columbus, OH before going out to Colorado to close out the tour, and then coming back east to Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA for New Year’s Eve.   • The Big Takeover Announces New Single, Tour Dates

    New York seven-piece band, The Big Takeover, perfectly fuses big band Motown with Jamaican pop roots, making it nearly impossible not to dance along. In their new single “Shy.” they offer an upbeat, retro tune that stays with you,  keeping you bopping around all day. This is the first single released from the band’s upcoming fourth album, and it’s filled with powerful horns, a foot-stomping beat, and soulful vocals.


    Despite its cheery, optimistic sound, the single has a rather somber story. Powerhouse singer/songwriter, Nee Nee Rushie, tells us about a love triangle, and everyone involved is too shy to communicate with each other and see their own truth. “I was trying to tell a very specific story, because I’ve written many stories that are left up to interpretation,” she elaborates, “feeling shy is an inexplicable and intriguing human behavior that most humans should be able to relate to.” “Shy” has an incredibly rich, boppy, and sweet sound that flows through you in a way that you can’t help but dance across the room.     The Big Takeover has been making a name for itself recently, sharing the stage with major acts such as The Wailers, Sister Sparrow, Jefferson Starship, and Pete Seeger. In 2018 they completed a 12-state tour and performed at Omaha’s Jazz on the Green festival.

    In addition to writing their new album, which is set to release later this year, The Big Takeover is set to appear at a number of notable music festivals this summer, including  Strangecreek in Greenfield, MA this weekend, Mountain Jam, and Musikfest.   • Surviving Beatles to tour with Boy George and Elton John

    A collaboration no one expected will tour this summer as ‘The New Beetles.’ Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be joined by Boy George and Elton John, which, according to Starr, will allow “A new generation to be able to say they saw John, Paul, George and me, Ringo.”

    The New Beetles will perform classic songs from The original Beatles catalog and Boy George songs, as well as new classics such as “Instant Karma Chameleon,” “Can You Feel the Love Me Do,” “A Day in the Wind,” “Cry Baby Crying Game,” “I’m Still Seeing her Standing There,” “Do You Really Want To Hold My Hand,”  and many more.

    “I’m most excited to play “Goodbye Yellow Brick Submarine” and “Get Back, Honky Cat,” said Elton John. “I always felt like my songs could use a little influence from the Fab 4, and here we are, rehearsing “The Bitch Is Back In The USSR.” It’s really quite fascinating.”

  • Bad Luck release “Sheep Song” off upcoming EP ‘Drug Phase’

    Brooklyn’s Bad Luck has announced a brand new EP Drug Phase to be released on March 29 via Take This To Heart Records, and has released the infectious new single “Sheep Song.” Listen below and on all platforms here.

    Bad Luck. started out as a Long Island solo project before the band came together in Florida in 2014, when they released Cold Bones and Noise in Your Head the following year. These two compact yet abrasive pop-punk releases placed nostalgia and neuroses on the same plane. “Sheep Song” showcases the dynamics that made 2014 “Cold Bones” LP from Bad Luck an underground hit. The whole song is a chorus that will have you singing ba-ba-ba in under 3 minutes.

    Anchored by brothers Dominick and Joe Fox and colored in by a rotating cast of touring friends, Bad Luck.’s second wind offers the same great pop hooks chased with hard-hitting backdrops that originally captured crowds’ hearts.  Having since returned to their home base and their homegrown mentality, Bad Luck. is looking to add to their short but sweet legacy and score a longer winning streak. They embark on a four-show tour later this month.

  • The Felice Brothers announce new album and release first single ‘Poor Blind Birds’

    The Felice Brothers have released “Poor Blind Birds” from their upcoming album Undress , set for release on May 3 via Yep Roc Records. Brothers Ian and James Felice grew up in Palenville in the Catskills, and are joined by Will Lawrence and Jesske Hume and other Hudson Valley musicians from time to time.

    Reflecting on the current political climate and general uncertainty in the world, Undress finds the group in a very different place than their last album, 2016’s Life In The Dark. Between personnel changes, families growing and the political landscape, the result is a tighter, more pared-down release. “Every song is a story,” said James Felice. “On this album everything was a bit more thoughtful, including the arrangements, the sonic quality and the harmonies.”

    Ian and James Felice are self taught musicians, inspired as much by Hart Crane and Whitman as by Woody Guthrie and Chuck Berry, they began in 2006 by playing subway platforms and sidewalks in NYC and have gone on to release nine albums of original songs and to tour extensively throughout the world. Following the release of Life in the Dark, The Felice Brothers served as the backing band for Conor Oberst’s 2017 release Salutations and the subsequent tour.

  • NY Maggots Await Knotfest Roadshow

    After the release of the new single “All Out Life,” in advance of the release of their upcoming sixth studio album, We Are Not Your Kind, due on Aug. 9,  Slipknot has announced to the NY Maggots and nation the band’s touring plans for their 2019 North American “Knotfest Roadshow” live tour.

    Packing up and hitting the road with Slipknot on July 26 in California, are special guests Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth.

    Maggots across New York State will have three opportunities to see Knotfest, as the roadshow will make stops at SPAC on Aug, 21, the Darien Lake Amphitheater, on Aug. 25, and the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 28, in Wantagh.

    Tickets go on sale to the general public March, 8 at 10 a.m. Slipknot fan club members and Citi card holders will have access to pre-sale tickets on March 5. Each pair of tickets purchased online will come with a digital copy of the band’s new album.

  • The Music of Cream: 50th Anniversary World Tour

    The pedigree of hallowed ‘60s trio Cream – Ginger Baker’s son Kofi Baker, Jack Bruce’s son Malcolm Bruce and Eric Clapton’s nephew Will Johns – return to the United States this spring for a new leg of The Music of Cream – 50th Anniversary World Tour. The outing celebrates the extraordinary music and legacy their family members created on the heels of the 50th anniversary since the original lineup’s farewell U.S. tour of 1968.Kicking off March 22nd in Newton, NJ, the 23-date spring tour will travel throughout the East Coast and south stopping in such places as New York City (March 20th at Sony Hall), Lancaster, Rochester, Columbus, Nashville, Fort Lauderdale, Sarasota, New Orleans, Houston and Dallas before wrapping April 20th in San Antonio.

    First launched in 2017 to rave reviews in Australia and New Zealand, The Music of Cream performed over 40 shows in 2018 across North America and the United Kingdom. Throughout the extensive multi-media show, Kofi Baker (drums), Malcolm Bruce (bass, vocals) and Will Johns (guitar, vocals) perform songs such as “Sunshine of Your Love,” “Crossroads,” “Spoonful” and “White Room” and tell personal stories, while footage of their fathers and mentors is shown on the big screen.

    Now, Baker says, “I feel more positive that we played the music the way Cream did; we were able to stretch out and improvise and the audience was right there with us. I really enjoyed playing with Will and Malcolm as we share a bond over this music that our fathers created. And meeting the fans after the shows and hearing their thoughts really validated and inspired me to keep playing this music.”

    Bruce adds, “The uniqueness of the approach to Cream’s music means that I learn and grow every night we play. There is always something new to be discovered in the music: tempo, feel, groove, notes, dynamics, inflection. It is truly wonderful to be able to improvise onstage.”

    “The audiences seemed to appreciate, and enjoy, that we were not just copying and actually putting our own slant on things,” notes Johns.

    During its heartbreakingly short lifespan, Cream was an explosive musical cocktail that provided the super-group blueprint for others to follow. The group’s third album, Wheels of Fire (1968), was the world’s first platinum-selling double album, and collectively they sold more than 15 million copies of their albums worldwide. Not surprisingly, Rolling Stone ranked the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group (inducted in 1993) as 67th in their ‘100 Greatest Artists of All Time’ list.Apart from an equally brief reunion in 2005 of seven shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Madison Square Garden, Cream retained an almost mythological status in the music world, right up until the passing of Jack Bruce in 2014. This, for many fans, marked the end of an era and an acceptance that there would never really be another opportunity to celebrate the group’s legacy. That is, until The Music of Cream – 50th Anniversary World Tour emerged.

  • Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit Announce First Ever Co-Headlining Tour

    For the first time ever Father John Misty and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will be co-headlining a national tour that will run throughout the month of June. The tour will begin June 5 in San Diego and end in Tulsa, OK on June 29. The tour makes stops in New York at Celebrate Brooklyn! on June 19 and at CMAC in Canandaigua on June 20

    Father John Misty is currently supporting his acclaimed 2018 release God’s Favorite Customer. While four time Grammy award winner, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit is touring in support of their album The Nashville Sound. Joining the tour will be Jade Bird, June 6-25 and Erin Rae, June 27- June 29.

  • Zac Brown Band Announces 2019 Tour Dates With Possible New Album

    It seems that the Zac Brown Band won’t be slowing down anytime soon with the announcement of their 2019 The Owl Tour, with 36 dates starting this spring and going through to the fall.

    Opening for the band will be Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real with Caroline Jones joining the group for nine dates on the tour. Along with the tour announcement, the band is hinting at a brand new album. Both the tour and album will be inspired by the mythology and mystery surrounded by the great horned owl.

    Tickets for most of the dates go on sale Feb. 8, with tickets to the Boston and Dallas shows going on sale Feb. 15.
