{"id":450,"date":"2018-06-14T16:00:17","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T16:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/2018\/2018\/06\/14\/imagine-dragons-leaves-syracuse-fans-feeling-on-top-of-the-world\/"},"modified":"2018-06-14T16:00:17","modified_gmt":"2018-06-14T16:00:17","slug":"imagine-dragons-leaves-syracuse-fans-feeling-on-top-of-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/2018\/2018\/06\/14\/imagine-dragons-leaves-syracuse-fans-feeling-on-top-of-the-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Imagine Dragons leaves Syracuse fans feeling &#8216;On Top of the World&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First things first, Imagine Dragons live performance at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asmsyracuse.com\/p\/amphitheater\">Lakeview Amphitheater<\/a> in Syracuse, NY on June 11 will be a hard act for any artist to follow there this summer.\u00a0\u00a0The band\u2019s energy was clear right from the beginning, starting with &#8220;Radioactive.&#8221; They were elevated into the middle of the stage playing various percussion instruments, building up the energy for the show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Imagine_Dragons_Renee_Clark_6827-1.jpg\" alt=\"imagine dragons syracuse\" width=\"1200\" height=\"880\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Second things second, it is so rare to see huge acts spend up close and personal time with their fans. Lead singer Dan Reynolds owns his stage presence and isn\u2019t afraid to hop off stage and walk through the entire venue as he sings. Reynolds even jumped over the fence to give fans in the lawn section some love.<\/p>\n<p>About a third of the way into the show, the band dialed the energy down a bit and followed Reynolds into the crowd to perform acoustic versions of \u201cAmsterdam,\u201d \u201cI Bet My Life\u201d and a stripped down, stringed version of &#8220;Bleeding Out&#8221; with violin and cello.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"text-transform: initial; text-align: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Imagine_Dragons_Renee_Clark__3264.jpg\" alt=\"imagine dragons syracuse\" width=\"1200\" height=\"798\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Third things third, Reynolds told the crowd that he hoped their show would be a great escape from their fans&#8217; troubles for a few hours. With confetti flying four times throughout the show and balloons dropping on the crowd at the show&#8217;s end, Imagine Dragons know how to add that extra flare of fun to their shows. Fans at the amphitheater enjoyed every minute and could hardly contain their excitement by jumping up and down singing along to every song.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.nysmusic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Imagine_Dragons_Renee_Clark_6816-1.jpg\" alt=\"imagine dragons syracuse\" width=\"1199\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last things last, If you come to a show as a fair weather fan, <a href=\"https:\/\/nysmusic.com\/site\/tag\/imagine-dragons\">Imagine Dragons<\/a> will make you a believer once you&#8217;ve seen them perform live. How it felt being there in the moment with their favorite artist in the same room as them when their favorite song was sung. When I photograph concerts, I try and capture that feeling. I want people to look at my photographs and feel that same passion, love and joy for the music as the people in the front row felt at that show. I've had the chance to work with some AMAZING musicians and bands. My work has been on CD booklets, magazines, artists websites and merchandise. Touring with an artist is on my list of goals.
