    Every Disturbed fan including myself, will be locked onto the bands Facebook page in anticipation of an official announcement as to what the videos actually mean. The band has currently been on hiatus since October of 2011. Since then all of the band members have found themselves playing in side projects.

  • Metal Allegiance To Release Debut Album

    So, what do you get when you mix members of Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera and Lamb of God? The answer is, you get the supergroup Metal Allegiance.

    With many rock bands touring with each other throughout the years, one can only expect that some of these guys will in fact become friends with each other from their common bond of music, among other things.

    Something that could arise from these situations, and seems to happen more than ever these days, is that “supergroups” form through these friendships.

    Allegiance was formed in 2011 by Mark Menghi, who is a creative marketing director in New York. The band started with Alex Skolnick and Mike Portnoy from Testament and Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson as the core members. Since then, some of metal’s biggest names are throwing their hat in the ring for the self-titled debut studio album with all original material on Sept. 18.

  • Starset Society to Hold Planetarium Demonstration in Long Island

    Starset Society of N.Y can get ready to see Starset in a whole new way.

    For the second time ever the band will hold a audio/visual event inside of a planetarium. Thursday June 25 at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, fans can witness Starset’s space themed music in a unique way — with original visual content to match the bands tunes. Space is limited to see the cinematic rockers in this intimate setting. Tickets are $20.oo and can be purchased through Vanderbilt or at the door day of show.

  • Members From KoЯn and Slipknot Have a Sit Down

    KoЯn members Brian “Head” Welch and James “Munky” Schaffer recently sat down at the “Metal Roundtable” and had a discussion with Slipknot members Jim Root and Mick Thomson for Musicradar.com. In this discussion bands members talk about their various different experiences that have happened throughout their careers so far.

  • K-Rockathon 20th Anniversary Lineup Boast Some Big Names

    Central New York are you ready? It’s time to put the rumor’s to rest and see which bands held up and which bands we just in fact rumor’s. So finally, Syracuse’s K-Rock has announced the line-up for their 20th Anniversary edition of K-Rockathon, which will take place on Saturday July 25th, at the Chevy Court located inside the NYS Fairgrounds.

    Some bands leaked the date early, confirming that they would in fact be on the show, just to have their post on social media sites taken down ten minutes later. The week leading up to the announcement, opener’s for the show confirmed on their social media sites that they would be there without it disappearing minutes later.

    So without any further ado, here are the eleven bands will make up the 20th Anniversary lineup.  Shinedown will headline the anniversary mega show that will also include Breaking Benjamin, Adelitas Way,  N.Y’s own In This Moment,  Nothing More, Trapt, We Are Harlot, Shaman’s Harvest, Sons Of Texas,  Fit For Rivals and Revolve.     Now let’s hope for a bigger security presence, more food vendors than beer vendors, a cleaning crew to monitor garbage thrown about the area and finally the ability to keep the plastic cap to your water bottle this year!

  • Pantera To Headline Future Mayhem Festival?

    Could Pantera finally reunite and headline a future Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival? Probably not but you never know, but if tour co-founder John Reese had his way it would have happened already Reese said in an interview with Examiner.com. Reese even went as far as to saying that he even approached the remaining member’s about the venture.

    pantera mayhem festivalReese stated “I’ve even approached them about doing it. Do I think it’s going to happen? I have no idea. I know that a heavy, heavy tragedy happened and there are some hard feelings, but it’s up to those three dudes to decide if they ever want to do something or not. If they would decide to do I would support it wholeheartedly and I would do whatever I could to be involved. But it’s up to them.”

    Still shaken by his brother’s death for over 10 years now. Vinnie Paul has stated “Dime was Pantera,” he as has also stated about the possibility of a reunion “it would never happen and not interested.” Of course frontman Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown are open to the idea even with the bad blood that still remains between Paul and Anselmo. In 2004 Dimebag Darrell was shot and murdered by a fan on stage during the first minute of the first song in the set of a Damage Plan show in Columbus, Ohio.

    Pantera released nine studio albums before the band officially broke in 2003.

  • Of Mice and Men’s Austin Carlile Hospitalized

    Austin Carlile — singer for Of Mice & Men — was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons forcing the band to cancel the remaining dates of the “Full Circle Tour” in San Diego and Mexico City.

    “Austin Carlile was admitted to a hospital yesterday morning, and, per doctor’s orders, has been kept in overnight for evaluation. The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans and hopes to be back in [San Diego and Mexico City] as soon as possible.

    “Refunds for both shows will be available at point of purchase. However, Of Mice & Men are planning to reschedule both shows for a later date in the year. We will have more news on this in the coming weeks and tickets holders are welcome to retain their tickets, as they will remain valid for these rescheduled dates.”

  • Is Korn Going Country?

    Johnathan Davis of Korn has worked on many music projects in the past which involved many different genres and styles of music, so why not try his hand at country? That’s right, Davis is shedding his black clothes and bag pipes for some cowboy jeans a red scarf and a rope. Well maybe not, but Davis is currently in the studio working on a ‘country music project’ with country superstars Big & Rich. Davis posted this photo on his Instagram.

  • Kenny Chesney Brings Spring/Summer Tour to N.Y.

    ChesneyLadies and the rest of the No Shoes Nation get ready. Mega Country Super Star Kenny Chesney and Corona Light present “The Big Revival Tour.”

    New York state will see two stops on the tour. The “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” singer will grace stages in Albany and Canandaigua.

    The Big Revival Tour will see two different sides of the tour. The arena shows will see support by Jake Owen and Chase Rice. The Stadium Shows will see support by Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church and Cole Swindell.

    The Big Revival is also the name of Chesney’s impressive 15th studio album. Fourteen of those albums are certified gold or higher by the RIAA. The first two singles off the new album “American Kids” and “Til It’s Gone” have quickly became fan favorites.

    Chesney’s birthday will start party tour off on Thursday March 26 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena. Chesney say’s,

    “Just like making this record, we had time to really get creative about the show. Some of the most creative people I know were thinking about stage design, lights, video screens – even what the set list is going to be! After all this time, when we hit the stage, we’re gonna be all out. And I’m so glad we can kick it off in Nashville where so many of my friends are.”

    The candles will get blown out on Saturday August 29 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

    Chesney has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and has 30 top ten hits on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart. His first platinum-selling album Everywhere We Go, churned out #1 hits “How Forever Feels” and “You Had Me From Hello.”

    Kenny’s sixth studio album No Shoes, No Shirts, No Problems, saw the lead single “Young,” win CMT awards for Video and Male Video of the Year in 2002. Second single “The Good Stuff,” was Billboards #1 Country Song of the Year in 2002.

    In 2004/2005, Kenny won CMT’s Male Video of the Year for the hit’s “There Goes My Life” and “I Go Back.” In 2005, The Academy of Country Music honored Chesney with the prestigious Triple-Crown Award. 2005 also saw Chesney release two studio albums that calendar year with Be As You Are (Songs from an Old Blue Chair) and The Road and the Radio.

    Arena Tour supporting act Jake Owen’s current and fourth studio album Days of Gold was released in 2013. Rolling Stone voted his current single “What We Ain’t Got” one of the top 25 country songs of 2014. Owen’s third studio album Barefoot Blue Jean Night, included many hits. Those hits include his first #1 single the title track of the album “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Alone With You” and “The One That Got Away.”

    Chase Rice will also support the arena part of the tour. His third studio album Ignite the Night, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums in August 2014. From the album you can hear RIAA certified gold hit “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight.”

    Fans tickets will sell out fast for this Spring and “Summertime” extravaganza.  Lucky fans who be able to score tickets will feel like they are “Living in Fast Forward.” Those who miss out will have to settle for a  “Beer in Mexico.”
