  • Godsmack to Headline Uproar Festival

    Rockstar Energy Drink has announced their lineup for the 2014 Uproar Festival. This year’s tour will be headlined by heavy metal rockers Godsmack as they support their brand new, sixth studio album 1000hp. Formed in 1995, this will be  Godsmack’s second time appearing at the Uproar Festival.

    What would a festival be in 2014 without Seether? The band has already seen Rock on the Range and Rocklahoma. They will also be on the Aftershock Festival later this year. Seether will hit the tour for their second time in support of their sixth studio album, Isolate and Medicate. 

    Skillet will make their first run on the Uproar Festival. Skillet has been touring for over the past year supporting their current album Rise. Skillet has been on four separate tours since the summer of 2013 including last years Carnival of Madness.

    Buckcherry will also grace the main stage and make their first appearance on the festival. Their single “Crazy B!^@#” is certified 2x platinum by the RIAA. The band is rumored to release an Ep titled “F#@k,” which every track on the disc will have that word in it’s song title.

    Uproar’s lineup will feature 13 bands in all. The rest of the lineup will include Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, Redlight King, Three Years Hollow, New Medicine, Within Reason, Sons of Revelry, These Raven Skies & Tattered.

    Also look out for the Suicide Girls to perform a Burlesque show on the festival this year.

    With more dates still to be announced, Uproar will bring the festival to New York on Friday, August 22nd in Syracuse at the New York State Fairgrounds. The festival itself will kick off on Friday, August 15th at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, Michigan.

    Uproar’s main stage looks like one big melting pot for rock and metal music. Godsmack will bring the hard rock and heavy metal, Seether will bring their post grunge style of rock.   • You Me At Six to Tour N.Y. This Fall

    Alternative pop rockers from the UK, You Me At Six,  will hit New York State this fall to support their fourth and current studio release Cavalier Youth, which was produced by Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Yellowcard) and released through Virgin RecordsThe 30 city tour will also feature fellow countrymen from the UK, Young Guns, who are currently in the recording studio laying down their tracks for their third studio release. Bec Hollcraft and the boys from Stars in Stereo will open the shows supporting their brand new album Leave Your Mark. This tour will have a ton of new music from all three bands to go along with their hits.

    New York will see the tour starting on Sunday October 19th at the Irving Plaza in New York, N.Y., the show starts at 6PM and ticket information can be found online through Live Nation.

    Thursday October 23rd at The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, N.Y., doors open at 6PM and the show starts at 7PM. This event is all ages and tickets can be purchased online for $15-$17 each.

    Friday October 24th at the Waiting Room in Buffalo, N.Y., doors open at 6PM and this is an all ages event. Tickets can be purchased online for $18-$20 each.

    Saturday October 25th at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, N.Y., doors open at 7PM and the show starts at 8PM. Tickets are on sale at the club box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and also at The Northern Lights Smoke Shop. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 the day of the show.

  • Jason Aldean ‘Burn It Down Tour’

    Country Pop star, Jason Aldean will be one of the headlining acts this year for Live Nation’s “Country Ticket” series with his “Burn It Down Tour” that will cover 50 cities across North America. Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr will help support the shows in select cities. Miranda Lambert will even make a couple of  very limited appearance on the tour as well.

The tour will trek through New York State on Saturday, July 12th at the Darien Lakes Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y, Friday, August 29th at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y and on Saturday, August 30th at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y.

    Appearing on the tour with Aldean will be Florida Georgia Line. Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, the country pop/rock duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have the world country music buzzing.

    Tyler Farr will opener for the tour. Born in Garden City, Missouri, the guitar playing singer/songwriter released his debut and current studio album Redneck Crazy, was released in September of 2013. His top 10 hit, and the title track from the album “Redneck Crazy” is certified platinum by the RIAA.

  • Dave Matthews Band ‘2-Set Acoustic/Electric’ Tour

    Dave-Matthews-BandWell it’s that time of the year again when all the summer concert tours start getting announced. Well one band that seems to never miss touring in the summer and has now become an annual event of summer concert tours for many music fans is here. That’s right people! Dave Matthews Band has announced their summer concert tour dates for 2014. The Tour is titled ” A Very Special Night With” Dave Matthews Band. Dave will perform two different sets, one acoustic and one electric in the same night. The tour will start on May 16th, in Woodland, Texas and conclude on September 6th, in Irvine, California and will expand over 30 cities nationwide. This will be a tour that every DMB fan will not want to miss!

    This very special tour will hit New York State in the bands usual NYS weekend summer tour stomping grounds on Friday, May 30th and Saturday May 31st, 2014, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The tour will also jam out the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014.

    Dave Matthews Band has a wide variety of musical styles. DMB’s musical genres include Alternative, Country, Folk, Funk Rock, Jam, Jazz Fusion and Bluegrass. From Charlottesville, Virginia the band is made up of  singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, Carter Beauford (drums,backing vocals), Stefan Lessard (bass), Jeff Coffin (saxophonist), Boyd Tinsley (violinist), Tim Renyolds (electric guitar) and RaShawn Ross (trumpet).

    With eight studio albums under their belt the band is currently working on their ninth album. The band also has eighteen live albums and one greatest hits album called “The Best Of What’s Around Vol.1.”  Their current album “Away From The World” was released in September of 2012. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. That made it the 6th consecutive #1 studio album in a row for the band making them the only group to do so. DMB has sold over 30 million records worldwide as of 2010.

    Fan Club Members of DMB called “The Warehouse” can gain early access to DMB concert tickets, exclusive cds and merchandise. The club was created to promote fan interaction.

    This will be the bands 23rd year touring in the last 24 years. In 2011 the band announced that they were going to take the summer off and did not tour that year. Dave Matthews and Tim Renyolds played an acoustic set at Farm Aid 2013 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y in September of 2013. Amazing performance!

    Finally, it’s that time of the year again. The official line-up for this years Rockstar Energy Drink’s Mayhem Festival has been officially announced.  Time to put all the rumors to bed and see which ones were true and which ones were just actually rumors.

    Founded by Kevin Lyman and John Reese in 2008, Mayhem has now become an annual event to kick off every summer.

    Mayhem will run ramped across New York State on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y, Tuesday, July 29th at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y and Wednesday, July 30th at Nikon at Jones Beach in Wantagh, N.Y.

    This years festival will mark the seventh annual event for this summers tour and will hit over 20 different cities. The tour will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold and Korn and will round out to 19 bands in all. Korn headlined the festival in 2010 and Avenged Sevenfold appeared on the same tour for only 2 dates in July.

    The 2014 lineup will also include the likes of Asking Alexandria, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence, Miss May I, Mushroomhead, Emmure, Texas Hippie Coalition, Veil of Maya, Upon a Burning Body, Darkest Hour, Body Count, Ill Nino, Wretched, King 810, Erihma and Islander.

    Rockstar’s Mayhem Festival usually consist of bands in the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal genre style of music. There are also a lot of sub-genre band styles like nu-metal, metalcore, thrash metal, groove metal and industrial metal to name a few.

    The Festival was a three stage event until 2013 when a fourth stage was added. The Main stage, the Jagermeister stage and a third has been rotated by sponsors’ like Hot Topic in 2008 and 2009, Silver Star in 2010, Revolver in 2011, Sumerian Records in 2012 and 2013 and last years third stage was sponsored by the Musicians Institute.

    The festival is a must for all rock fans. Not only is there kick @$$ live music, but you have the Metal Mulisha as a side attraction.

    Most of the bands that participate on the tour have meet-and-greets at various locations throughout each venue and how can you beat all the free samples of new Rockstar flavors you can handle under the Rockstar Tent.

  • Luke Bryan Adds Second Leg To 2014 Tour

    Once again, Luke Bryan will be part of LiveNation’s annual “Country Ticket” with 2014 dates and shows added for a second leg to Bryan’s “That’s My Kind Of Night Tour” taking the tour into the fall. The tour will now cover more than 60 cities across North America.

    Bryan’s 2014 tour will come through New York State on Saturday, August 16th at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y, Sunday August 17th at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y and Friday, September 12th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

    The 37-year-old Bryan has released four studio albums in his career, including his latest “Crash My Party”, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts upon its release last August. It sold more than a half million copies in its first week and became the third best-selling country album of 2013. It is certified Platinum as of last September.

    Other Bryan albums include, (I’ll Stay Me – 2007), (Doin’ My Thing -2009) & (Tailgates & Tanlines – 2011).

    Cole Swindell will also help support the tour. Swindell’s self-titled debut album will be released this February and will feature his Top 10 hit “Chillin’ It”. The single has sold over 650,000 digital copies so far. Cole was born in Bronwood, Georgia.

  • John Legend ‘The All Of Me’ Acoustic Tour

    Nine-time Grammy Award winning artist John Legend has announced dates for his 2014 North American acoustic spring tour – An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour.

    The tour will begin on March 20th in Temecula, CA at the Penchanga Resort & Casino and will conclude on June 7th at the Ferguson Center in Newport News, VA. The 46 city tour will support Legend’s current recording Love in the Future and will feature Legend in an intimate/acoustic setting, highlighted by a five-piece string quartet.

    Legend will bring the tour to New York State on Thursday, May 15th at the Theatre At Westbury in Westbury, N.Y, Friday, May 16th at the historic Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady, N.Y, Sunday, May 18th at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, N.Y and Saturday, May 31st at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, N.Y.   • Decadence Heads to West Coast to Record Second Album

    North Creek, New York natives, and Adirondack roots rock band Decadence, are heading off to California to work with Waylon Jenning’s son, Shooter Jennings on their next album. Shooter will help produce the album.

    In September of 2013, the band had the chance to play alongside Shooter Jennings and others like Chase Rice, Lainey Wilson, Drew Baldridge and Frank Foster at the Cottonstock in Monroe, Louisiana.

    The band has also opened for Nashville Pussy, Jayke Orvis and the Broken Band, The Mallet Brothers Band, Underhill Rose and Woody Pines to name a few.

    Decadence has been playing regularly all over New York State. Most notably down in New York City at venues like the Shanghi Rock Hotel and Tammany Hall. They have also done a string of shows out-of-state in Tennessee and Florida.

    Decadence’s style of music is a fusion rock meets blues and country.

    Their debut album “Love Loud” was released in June of 2012. While in Nashville, Tennessee, the band recorded their current EP “Tales From The Mountain,” which was recorded at Ocean Way Studio in September of 2013.

    Two tracks off the current EP “Too Much Fun” and “Dogtown Cadillac” have received airplay on many radio stations with a positive response from listeners.

    When talking about the new album, band member Katy Cole says “We’re bringing back the good things about music. It’s not just country, rock, blues and jazz. It encompasses so many genres.” 

    Cole also states that the album will be released on BCR (Black Country Rock) Los Angeles and that the band will undergo a name change to “Last Daze.”

    Formed in 1998, Decadence/Last Daze is Jen Gadway (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Katy Cole  (vocals, guitar, piano), Chris Schempp (lead guitar), Matt Dower (drums) and Mick Changelo (bass guitar).

  • Mötley Crüe Announces Farewell Tour

    Mötley Crüe is set to wrap up what is one great musical career with their just announced farewell tour. Coming along for the ride to support the tour will be Alice Cooper. The tour will start in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 2nd and conclude on November 21st in Vancouver, BC. The “All Bad Things Must Come To An End” tour will cover over 60 cities across North America and Canada.

    New York State will see the tour come through on Tuesday, August 26th at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y, Friday August 29th at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y, Sunday, August 31st at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y and Wednesday, October 29th at the On Center Complex in Syracuse, N.Y.

    Volbeat has just confirmed they are hitting the United States this spring on a 24-city, North American tour in support of their latest, and very successful, album Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies.”

    The tour starts in Denver, Colorado on April 3rd, and finishes off in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on May 9th, the Danish Psychobilly, heavy metal hard rockers will bring a supporting cast of Trivium and Digital Summer along for the tour. 

    The tour runs through Upstate New York starting with a show at Niagara Falls on May 5th, and a show at Poughkeepsie the following night, on May 6th.

    Volbeat has released five studio albums since their debut in 2001.   The Strength / The Sound / The Songs (2005),  Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil (2007), Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (2008), Beyond Hell/Above Heaven (2010) and current album Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013).  

    Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies was released in April of 2013. Singles “The Hangman’s Body Count,” “Lola Montez” and “Dead But Rising” are in heavy rotation on Sirius/XM Octane and all rock radio stations everywhere.

    Trivium’s recording studio albums include  Ember to Inferno (2003), Ascendancy (2005), The Crusade (2006), Shogun (2008), In Waves (2011) and  Vengeance Falls (2013). The single “Strife” off the album is in constant rotation on many rock radio stations. Trivium has also released over 18 singles in their career including “Black,” “In Waves”  and “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr” to name a few.

    Trivium is Matt Heafy (guitars, lead vocals), Corey Beaulieu (guitars, backing vocals), Paolo Gregoletto (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Nick Augusto (drums, percussion).

    Alternative/Nu Metal band Digital Summer will also make the trek. The Pheonix, Arizona based band have released four albums including their current offering After Hours: Unplugged & Rewired.

    This marks the first acoustic album for the band. Released in October of 2013, the album is an unplugged rendition of their three studio offerings, the album, includes two new tracks titled “This City” and “Demons”.

    Digital Summer’s albums include Cause and Effect (2007), Counting the Hours (2010), Breaking Point (2012) and current album After Hours: Unplugged & Rewired (2013). Their singles “Just Run”, “Dance Into The Fire” and “Forget You” are mainstays on rock radio stations.

    Digital Summer is Kyle Winterstein (lead vocals), his brother Ian Winterstein (guitar) and Anthony Hernandez (bass).
